  • can you give me a schematic? or advice, i have problems with high voltage that is kill transistor everytime i increase input to >12V, how to fix that?

  • rofl holy crap!! im glad you showed this because it makes me feel more confident a larger output doesn't harm you when near it. i think its quite an improvement to the spark gap TC, but i guess some people actually like the loud ass cap popping? im pretty sure if you found the proper incandescent bulb you could get it to light up fully just by holding one terminal, or even giving it two synthetic grounds/antennas, which would show its transferring current unlike two inductors in resonance.

  • Superb ! loved that display and it puts GBluers little circuit right there with the spark gappers !

  • nice work! what transistor are you using, and base resistor?

  • Thats Killer :) Love it. I am halfway winding one, that is large too, about 34" x 4" diameter. Just waiting on some wire, I ran out! Did you run that on FETs or BJT's? I have a concept for such a unit: having it drive natural daylight fluoros inside a (distilled with tea tree oil) water filled tube, slightly colored, then run a wire, top load it, basically.... I think the output would be amazing and visually it'd be cool. You could also have a small stirring blade to "wash" the light around

  • Now that's an impressive coil.

What is the input voltage and current draw?

  • @GBluer Its running on 40v and about 3 amps. I have not had a chance to tune it, so i believe this could be significantly reduced. Thanks for your great work!

  • wwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww, genial.

  • Nice tesla coil :) Is that just a standard slayer exciter circuit driving that? I have a monster tesla coil in my garage, and I had thought about using that for the L1 & L2 coils in an exciter circuit, but never got around to it. Nice job!

  • @ericsclips Yep, standard simple slayer exciter circuit. I actually built the coil for this purpose.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Thumbs up just for winding that thing :-)
