I guess that your SPLINE is a NURBS o, even better a non rational NUBS by given degree and continuity (usually deg 3, C2). It would be easier to show the controls points of that NUBS and control XYZ of each controls point. In this way you can control your curve, in any aspect (and in 3D, if you like)
