I think Geist632 is totally wrong. A communication with all americans, voters or not, is neccessary, it makes a sensation of nearness, of transparency, is not a brainwash at all, what do you prefer? total silence or information about what your president and his team want to do? In fact, these videos, are like a social contract.

There's no question that video is a brainwashing medium. There is also no question that it is the medium of choice for the 21st century. Continuing with radio only would have made no sense and would have cheated the American people. I'm not saying that we all want to be brainwashed. I'm saying instead that Obama needs to be careful with this tool. I think he is being careful and using it wisely and well. But I am very concerned about the presidents that come after him.

Exactly Tommy--The president has been on the radio weekly ever SINCE FDR. Obamas camp isnt stupid-neither is he. The easiest way to brainwash people is through repetitive video which is through YOUTUBE no less since it reaches so many people.
