i just did this to my STR-DH710 using an optoma HD66 with an optoma 3DXL converter box hooked up to a PS3 and a TiVo HD... everything works great... audio and video both over HDMI and everything syncs up perfect.

@du3ce play the next track on the cd. If it's still not working you're doing something very wrong.

1. It's coming out at 48khz instead of 44.1.

2. Your receiver has different versions than I said were compatible. Check Sony esupport.

3. Not TV optical connection.

I tried upgrading the firmware with no luck, it keeps saying update play disc even though i play the damn thing on my cd player, Its connected thru digital output, i have no clue why its not updating.

My DH810 is a POS. It will display video and audio for about 5 minutes and then it just "loses signal" and won't come back to life. It's past my return to Best Buy period, so I guess I'm screwed.

@bkeith101 go sony e-support and request a repair. It should be free as long as you have the reciept or invoice.

Gonna take microsoft a year before they implement 3d into xbox, hell took them a long time before they made xbox slim come close to ps3.

I don't think the str-dh1010 was out when I got my 810. According to Sony catalog that should have native 3D support or if it doesn't there should be a patch. Honestly I'm using only 100 out of 110 possible watts per speaker. I couldve bought a 710 and been fine but 810 was really really cheap when I bought it. I couldn't say no.

Yeah , Ya should of got the STR-DN1010 ... 7.1 Sony AVR !! I own a STR-DN1010 , It's amazing , You got a very nice AVR yourself . Suck's no 3D !!

very weird now you just need a 3dtv i just got the 3d firmware update on my ps3 but my sony receiver and sony lcd do not support 3d so im going to try to update my receiver this way

@playstation406 Just tell sony e-support the model number of your reciever and it'll tell you if there's any new software for it. I put the address in the video during the credits. Procedure to update it should be the same as what I did, although it's a definate that you're going to need the .wav files specific to your unit..

@Maniac536 thanks alot it worked sony did have a software update for my receiver so i download it and then installed it i had to do exactly the same thing you did and everything is working perfecly fine now my receiver does support 3d
