I think I have a simple solution to all your people whining about comparisons with smartphones and other devices. This is my solution: If u wanna listen to great music, get a Creative ZEN, if u wanna play video games, get a PS3, if u wanna go online and facebook, get an Alienware m17x, if u wanna watch TV, get a Sony Bravia, if u want a great speaker, get Bose and if u wanna make phone calls, get an HTC.... any HTC.... That's all the gadgets I own and I am very very very happy!! GOT IT?!!

the nokia n8 have arm11 cpu this cpu its little slower then A4 because a4 actually is arm cortex A8 at 1ghz (all in one chip) the nokia n8 have independed gpu (more graphick power) all thats mean the nokia have faster hardware the cpu and gpu is faster then A4chip.

just got n8 delivered 2days and has broken down already. wont turn on , charge its dead. shame cos it looked quite nice wen it worked. i wil say this video is really smooth but i found the camera a bit naff. good shutter speed but the quality of colour is poor. indoor shots looked like the house was filled with smoke.....

@adagio1210 Hi. It may look like your "house is filled with smoke" because the lens is dirty. Happens to me too. Give it a quick wipe and try the photo again.

That is because u have to remove the plastic paper covering the lens, otherwise it give out reflection from flash.., :)

nokia is making phones since 19's, iphone came in 2007, with total cheat of nokia, like camera, sound but failed. wat nokia adds to phone, iphone adds it in next G.

camera is an example. and still nokia wins the market.

and now in symbian ^3, apple clames nokia tht they've cheated.

if u look inside nokia is still far more funtional. and apple is going down.

only apps are not our need. we need functions and features. iphone dont even hav radio, flash web, so wat i can say more abt it

Iphone has Safari.....Nokia N8 NO, but has FLASH.

Iphone has Apple A4 (1ghz) and Nokia N8 has ARM 11 (680) Mhz.....more speed sure, but also more power consumption.

Iphone has more Apps than Nokia N8...Nokia loses only here.

Show me a handheld device before Nokia that has got the following things: . One can send small packets of data called text messages . One can listen to a music player integrated to it. . A phone that has two different screens . Video calling . Web browsing, though not that fast. . Full qwerty keyboard. . Touchscreen. recall N7710 should i go on? There is also a lawsuit filled by Nokia against Apple for the violation of nearly 12 patent rights of Nokia. It seems Apple has always copied from nokia

@amirali93p Since Nokia has been around in the phone business for like 25 years Apple has stolen lots of phone tech from them without paying. Apple however probably claim Nokia has stolen software implementation ideas they have used on iPhone or whatever. All patents suck but software patents suck more :D

@darmok1974 I've seen it on actual N8 and it's better than the video demo. The sims 3 bit is also in full screen unlike this video demo.

Also note, this video is not by Nokia, this is by EA, and they're only showing exactly what N8 is capable of.

@killer3878 I think you can run Android on the N900, but I think I read using it as a telephone didn't worked if you did :D, so not feature complete in that case.

Your best chance would probably be to wait for MeeGo phones, I will =P

MeeGo is also Linux based just as Android, but among other things use QT (and c++ or various other languages) for development instead of a modified Java as on Android.
