i gotta admit ttomo is slick as eel shit.

i remember watchin this for the first time when it first aired on HBO, and spittin my beer all over the screen. i couldnt wait to rewind the vcr after i was done recording it to watch it again (no, no TiVo in those days, and i actually had to get up to turn the volume up :) and when they had Tenacious D premiering after one of the Mr. Show shows, i thought i was in the fuckin Twilight Zone. groundbreaking stuff.

I remember in the DVD commentary for this episode, someone (I think it was Jill Talley) mentioned that the gold tooth outfit that Bob was wearing was taken from outside a dental office close to where they filmed Mr. Show. Apparently it'd been outside for quite some time, and it was filled with spiders, so Bob was amazingly miserable having to wear it around, but would pretend to be happy when the cameras started filming. Always thought that was a funny story.
