This isn't an emulatable game, it's a standalone PC game, so unfortunatly, no save-states ever. I'm sure anyone in their right mind wouldn't hesitate to save-state the crap out of this evil world.

also - 8-8 is easyish, not boss-related but only three stars available so you still would have to do at least five of the boss stages to see the ending.
