It's from the SNES game, which sucks compared to the NES ones. :P

actually 16 bit doesnt always mean better sound especially since i grew up witht he NES sounds.

Not always. But this version just overall has better instruments and presentation.

I tend to agree; the sound is kind of awkward in this version, even though the graphics are a little sharper.

I dont know. It feels like they over produced this one. The original was really nice, but the triliogy compilation remake seemed over done and sloppy. I never did like that version.
