totally irrelevant question but is the fog light switch on your car in the stalk by the steering wheel or is it in the dash under the cluster? i put fog lights on a maxi that didnt have them before, and im wondering if i needa buy a stalk or if just a cheap switch from auto zone would do the job.

sorry camry wont i have the same as ur camry in a celica gt its the 5sfe 5 speed and my maxi pad aint turboed none nodda an my maxi is auto celica 5spd maxima beats it everytime celica 12 psi maxi none do some home work then come back and leave a msg

Im thinking of a rmt on my 5spd. But i am concerned about it already. Maybe if i can get my hands on a 6spd.

Oh btw there is a auto 4th gen that does 10's. Dont hate on the auto maxs :)

@vq35ftw its a full 3.5 swap, with 3.0 timing sprocket/chains. So basically a vq35 without variable cam timing. Well you can do RMT and keep it around 300ish for a fun car. aint gotta go all out and blow tranny's

I would personally take the money that you put into the tranny and buy a manual transmission. Way more fun, and you actually have to be a man and drive the car :)

@austinschulte I love coming across ignorance. the money i have put into the auto? Its a stock auto with a cheap transgo VB, cheap being like 80, so not sure what your assumption is about. Guys at my power break manuals left and right. Also i dont do any other racing than drag, so being auto is obviously a benefit for me.

How much power does it make?

@mrZdude well that turbo is long gone but if you can read compression maps you can see the hx35 maps that are out there and map it using a vq35 cfm

@maraba How much power did it make? Z31 guys are making ~400whp around 18psi of boost with VG30s, and its just into the efficiency range. I found, what I assume is your post, on maxima.org. Claiming the HX35 above 10-12psi is just producing heat. That claim is ridiculous. They run more than that stock on a diesel. The turbos efficiency range is far higher up, low boost like 10psi is nothing for it. Its been proven on tons of engines to support over 450whp with 18+psi of boost.

@mrZdude well i remember putting it up to 20psi, peak timing around 16deg, afr low 11. And the output was very very low compared to 12 psi. The vq35 @ 6000rpm outflows the big displacement cummings at their redline of like 3k rpm. Either way, i have since upgraded to a 6 blade hx40.

@maraba See, thats just strange...because a friends Z31 300ZX made A LOT more power from 12psi to 17psi, it was ridiculous.

I'm still curious how much power it made though...
