Hold the phone, the fact that abortions count for only 3% of PP's services count for nothing? They also provide screening for cervical and breast cancers. THey also screen STD/HIV. Don't believe me? Go to Planned Parenthood's website, they're a nonprofit so they have to be completely honest.

@mareyk288 Maybe because the federal funding goes toward providing things like sex-ed, STD screening (including for HIV/AIDS), pap smears, mammograms, etc. Abortions are not federally funded due to the Hyde Amendment unless it's a case of rape, incest, or there's some danger to the mother.
