I just put together a video using Kdenlive 0.8.2, and it worked really well -- definitely better than the last time I used it (which was 0.8.0, I think). I haven't used commercial editors for OS X/WIndows, so I don't know how it compares, but it definitely does the job for me.
If there's one feature I'd love to see, it'd be JACK transport support, so I could edit video in Kdenlive while simultaneously editing audio in Ardour. That would be a real killer feature.
I use Kdenlive all the time. Love it. I wish it wouldn't loose the audio when slowing down or speeding up a clip. It would be nice if we could get it to run a clip backwards too!
I started using Avid (Industry standard) about a year ago. I've been a linux user for 4 years and Kdenlive Is impressive there are a lot of things that remind me of kdenlive in avid. I love the way it is shaping up. Professional editing in linux is looking good for the future
Kdenlive is my favorite... I began my video editing life with linux and Kdenlive is the best.
