This show was one of the first animes I've ever seen back in May 2010, and now I'm a total fucking otaku! I don't remember much of the show, and I'm not really into Sonic as much as I used to be, but I look forward to watching it again after almost two years.

I mean the sonic franchise has the potential of delivering really REALLY good stories, I mean Sonic Battle was proof of that(and to a lesser extent, adventure 2) so if the good stuff already exists, how are they screwing it up?!

And don't justify it by saying it's made for kids, no, kids programming can be very good and quite smart. Avatar: the last airbender series, or Transformers: Prime, or batman: the animated series.

Not to get on anybody's nerves, but the anime industry is crumbling in large part due to piracy. I won't go over the specifics--there are plenty online if you want to see those--but there are ways you can help, and one is to watch anime through official sites rather than user-uploaded videos. 4Kids has this show, uncut and subtitled, up on their website, Toonzaki. Please watch Sonic X that way rather than through vids like these. Thank you.

Even the heavy emotional scenes were so watered down, it was almost laughable.

Personally, I think Funimation should have gotten Sonic X. Secondly, Since Sonic and his games were meant to entertain youngsters, the profanity should be changed (at least to milder, more acceptable terms). Thirdly, I don't think many of the diehard otaku out there would be able to enjoy anime unless they were fluent in Japanese (and how many of you otaku do, for that matter?) You have to understand something you like, man.

One thing that's bothered me about this anime is the fact why did it have to revolve around so many humans?

I mean, I know it's supposed to be a series based off Sonic Adventure and all, but this opening fight scene proved to me they could have done without it.

Seeing Sonic fight Eggman at his base on Mobius was so much better than most of the other episodes where the silly human characters are praising him as the greatest thing ever.

Episode 2 and 3 of the japanese version are okay as well, but looking at the episodes that follow, some of the plots just get stupid and it just looses that feeling episode 1 created imo. Chris just becomes a not very good character in either version, too many characters like rouge and the chaotix team ect get involved, and the whole alien space mech things in the last quarter in the series is retarded.

The 4kids version, they couldn't even do episode 1 right, they were shit from the start.

This first episode, Japanese version only, was fantastic, I remember watching it when Sonic X was first subbed years ago, if you forget about Chris and just concentrate on the acting , the music and atmosphere from this episode, this is what the series should've been like the whole way through.

The awesome car chase scene, and the emotional moments like when sonic was looking up at the sky and when he was being rescued from the pool, very atmospheric moments because of the music and acting.
