There should be a sequel about Ed and Al meeting up after they explore and east and west. Then they try to create a new type of alchemy by combining knowledge, but it turns out that Selim is actually evil and regains all his memories. Selim then uses the new type of alchemy to his advantage and wreaks vengeance not only upon Amestris, but the entire world.

@IceStormGale Actually, I believe that Kimblee was released along with all of the other souls when Selim was turned into his true form (that baby thing). So sadly, that wouldn't be a possibility. Plus, why would we want Selim to be evil again? I, for one, was glad for him to be good at the end.

@looloopaa I was just pondering possibilities; I wouldn't really want Selim to be evil again either. But actually, you're right; for some reason I forgot that when homunculi were reduced to their "mini forms" if you will, like Envy was at some points, all the souls within them are released.

Very very nice theme this one. I wouldn't say it completely reflects an Asian tone early on, but later it certainly dispels all doubt of it.

If the manga wasn't going the way it is, I was really hoping that we would get an arc where all the main characters go to Xing, all the Xingese characters are some of my top favorites (Ling Yao is bad ass!), but probably not going to happen and Ed said in the Anime that he couldn't cross the desert with his automail, dammit.....

@getefix3 yeah i know it is, i watch brotherhood and read the manga, and at the time i made my comment on here i think the manga was on 104 which is why i said they probably aren't going to ever show Xing, which they didn't unfortunately. And yeah, i mean ling as in greed or "greeling" :DDD

@tsubakki1 Kinda does, infact it was based off it so yeah. Hehehe yet we see usually a really rural or really wilderness part of Xing but we were never shown the capital of it or anything, other than the photo of Ling Yao, new Emperor with Lan Fan still at his side with him sitting in his throne in the throneroom. That's all we see. But yes it does look like Ancient China indeed.

@bluxtina Isn't Xing China and Amestris or whatever Germany, and King Bradley is Hitler and the Ishvalens or like Jewish people. That's actually where the idea came from...

@Ilovetheoutsiders1 Amestris was also based off of the British Empire, so it is not a carbon copy of Nazi Germany. It also has parallels to how the Japanese treated the Ainu. As for Bradley, in COS he was the equivalent of Fritz Lang, not Hitler. He is probably not based off of any one military ruler.
