Arabs did not start wars. 1967 was not started by Arabs, stop the distortion of Historical facts.

Arabs were hostile against Zionists for the same reasons the indigenous people of America were hostile to the Europeans immigrants, they feared dispossession and displacement. That was happened to them, and that what is happening in Palestine. No body will give you his land on a plate. resistance to occupation is a natural behavior.

Are the arabs/palestinians still repsonding, perhaps to the newer influx of immigrants from russia and africa? Or is there something else keeping the conflict going?

Heres a history lesson in how the 1967 war started. On May 17, 1967 Egypt was ready to unleash its fighting tigers on Israel and demanded that the UN peacekeeping force be withdrawn. Sec. Gen. agreed which set the stage for the 6 Day War.

Meanwhile sabotage, fedayeen raids, and shelling from the Golan Heights all encouraged by Syria increased and Israel finally responded after an exchange of fire, striking artillery positions that were raking Israel. Cont'd

Then an air battle ensued & Syria ran to Egypt to aid in their conflict with the Israelis. Egypt responded by massing troops and tanks in Sinai near the Israeli border & was ready to strike. Egypt imposed a blockade first in the Gulf of Akaba & then in the Suez Canal. Nasser said he was ready to destroy Israel and Cairo radio blared, no Jew will remain alive. Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon chimed in on Nassers side and the Soviet Union provided all the weapons. Israel knew that she could not allow a war to be fought on her soil & since all of her cities were within bombing range. So on June 5, 1967 Israel struck and won a decided victory.

The indigenous people of American were not very hostile to European immigrants & certainly did not brutally massacre any of them. And it's not like some Jews weren't already living there for centuries; and other came and bought land & only wanted to live in peace. Also, your so-called Palestinians were mostly all rather recent immigrants from other Arab countries. Israel is but 1/10th of 1% of the land owned by the Arabs - but no - they have to have it ALL.
