Randy is probably one of the most important guitarists in metal history... Imagine not having songs like crazy train. It's no about technical ability, speed or how many different notes you can play a supersonic pace, that makes a guitar player great, it's the original riff with the "hook" that stays with listeners. You will find many very young players on Youtube that can play Hendrix, Rhoads, Young, Page, Wylde, Clapton, Gillmore, etc.. better than the artists themselves. But let's see them come up with a keeper riff, their OWN that will stay in people's head like the greats have done, I rest my case

Zakk Wylde is better than many people at guitar, no doubt. But in no possibly way does he compare to Randy Rhoads. He can play fast, and so can Randy. But the thing is, Randy plays faster, and with so much more heart and soul that Zakk's music tends to lack. They are both legends of guitar, but Randy Rhoads is the guitar God. I'm fifteen, and Randy is the reason I picked up a guitar and started to learn. But like 67cgc said, God bless them both.
