This in turn also means a greater risk of a disease causing world wide famine and all the lovely social upheavals that tend to accompany them. Read up on the effect that lack of genetic diversity had in contributing to the Irish potato blight if you're curious.

You see a naked child walking in the beach sand towards the sea, that is virtually identical to a scene in The Truman Show (Truman as a baby). What you have here is the same critical approach to manipulation. Even love is nothing more than something programmed as a consequence of your genetic mix. The fact that the boy and the girl meet (make eye contact) at the gym while doing both repetitive mechanical movements seems to indicate that.
