  • That was Freakin' Awesome

  • @marcmgm--This is the problem when people only look at the title of a song without reading the lyrics a few examples:

PAT BENATAR-HELL IS FOR CHILDREN(A SONG AGAINST CHILD ABUSE)

OZZY OSBOURNE--SUICIDE SOLUTION(A SONG ABOUT ALCOHOLISM

if people would only listen to the words!!

  • Happy Birthday Alice Cooper !!!

  • julie covington covered this song, need i say more ?

  • My first concert was A.C. Welcome To My Nightmare !!!! Just listen to the words, then look at the artists that have recorded this tune. Do you think they would have covered it if it condoned violence towards women? Get a life people

  • Great song. Cutting edge social commentary.

  • Makes me wonder why the word "women" is pronounced "wimmin"

  • awesome song.. just love the theatrical aspect of the show..

  • This is without a doubt the best version of this I have seen! It is one of the biggest regrets in my life that I never got to see Alice in concert, and now I won't ever get the chance. He is such a great performer...

  • @lorelei59 why won't you ever get a chance he's still touring

  • i saw a video of guns n roses playing part of this before knockin' on heavens door and everyone in the comments kept asking what song it is, if they like rock n' roll how the hell have they not heard this song?

  • How can anyone in their right mind think this is about hurting women? It is from the other side the side we live on the one that finds it repulsive! Drawing attention to something that no one wants to draw attention too! I for one never saw that my own Mother was beat til I heard this man bring it out and watch her cry saying I know what he means! WTF Some men need to be in a room with me for 5 minutes alone!

  • i think that this is only 2 show how diffucult it is 2 get out of a violet relation

  • Read Akice's version of the meaning of the song, it is about the burden many women live with. I was in a brutal relationship a very long time ago, before this song came out, and I knew it was NOT anti-women. Love this song.

  • You mind is closed if you think for a second that this song about anything but what women have to put up with...Coop was an man in touch with his inner female side...in more ways than one....

  • Blimey, he's almost 'not ugly' in this video! lol

  • He's a master showman! One of the best shows I've ever seen...period. Anyone who thinks this song glorifies hitting women, you are missing the entire point of the song. If anything, it shows how much shit women take. It's every sympathetic to women and anti-spousal abuse. I love it!

  • alice pionered alot of chit b4 itz time.....stuff people r just now talkin bout.

spousal abuse suks....how the f,can u hit the woman u love;and then just go on like chit never happened?....never will get it,i guess.

  • I love Alice. I grew up with him and I still think he is the best act ever....

  • Thanks so much for this perfect clip of Alice so true as it was in his interview! I myself would never have believed this man was ever so humble! xoz N Hugz! N major winks!

  • the best stage performer ever

  • hella. good music. good performer,.

  • Ok listen to me assholes who haven't got enough brain to understand the underlines of the lyrics; if Alice were so violent to glorify violences on women, why is he always with his former wife ? Tsssssssssss... get some pills and take a snap suckers

  • Alice sings about how women bleed from the heart, mind and soul. It is actually a sympathetic look at domestic abuse.Understanding Alice uou would realize this.

  • @mrssepia77

you're absolutely right. all. it's just stupid to interpret the lyrics as a glorification of domestic violence!!

  • Alice sings about how women bleed from the heart, mind and soul. It is actually a sympathetic look at domestic abuse.

  • No.1 with Julie Covington. A woman singing it so can't see it being taken like that. i bought it at the time because it was a good song and didn't read anything that much into but since then I suppose songs are being analysed a bit too much. No more than I would have thought the Last train to Clarksville was about the Viet War or Stairway to Heaven was about Janis Joplin. #Justlikeagoodtune

  • Alice must have had a bad childhood. Maybe his father was a women beater.

  • I don't think or believe that this song glorifies violence against a woman. I think it's actually sympathetic.

  • @GeneLattanzi As you can read on Wikipedia, he is very active in his church, as bizarre as it can seem for a hard-rocker. He is a man with a generous and peaceful soul, and he is purely taking the part of the women in this song. Hourra for a man able to do that !!! Tina Arena and other women made covers of this, and they did make no mistakes.

  • @paco9ivanoe I know He's a born again Christian. It actually comes through quite clearly in recent interviews that he is a very kind and caring man. I heard him speak adoringly about his wife. I've heard him saying that he has great empathy for women. I think it's always shown in this song. I agree with your statement about men who can take that side.

  • @GeneLattanzi Well he always kind of was, songs like Hallowed Be My Name and Second Coming kind of showed that, plus being a minister's son and all.

  • Why does it have to be glorifying? Its just a song. Chances are Alice didn't even write the song just performed it.Pperhaps he is condemning beating women!!! You sound kinda bitter. What did Alice Cooper ever do to you?

  • @marcmgm ...and what? more people beating womens, childrens and old people, but not becouse the alice music... and who are you to judge if he drugged or drunk?? more than that, I love the time they got drunk and singing with that unique energy.

Alice Cooper is a master, drunk or not :)

  • @fernandocooper could be anymore fucked up classic

  • If you ever saw the video, she chokes him at the end of the song when she can take no more.it's about self empowerment and not Being a victim. These people do exist ,Alice was commenting on this same as you.Just like "Dead Babies" Is a song about child abuse and neglect, not endorsing it.Alice has been clean 3 decades and admits his promblem. He is a man,If you don't grasp the concept of what he's saying...stop insulting him and just shut up...you're an idiot.

  • @marcmgm wtf are you talking about... hes not glorifying breating a women... he said it in an interview it's about spousal abuse and how wrong it is, just like how dead babies is not about how he wants to kill babies.... your just like the parents in hte 70s only hearing "half" of the lyrics and not looking into the actual meaning of the song

  • @marcmgm its a fucking act marc! do believe that cartoons really fall off cliffs and get right back up? or Daffy getting shot in the face!

  • @marcmgm This song isn't glorifying beating women..it's the opposite u stupid fuck. try getting a clue before writing stupid shit..ok there buddy.

  • @marcmgm The song is ANTI-Spousal abuse you braindead moron! This is the main reason Tina Turner COVERED this song. Opinionated Idiots like you should be banned from the internet, go read a book and learn a thing or two before you come on here flapping your jaws.

  • @marcmgm How is this song song glorifying violence against women. It IS highlighting it and showing the world it is WRONG not the other way around. This did more GOOD than harm trust me. He was an activist against violence

  • @marcmgm Who said it IS okay to beat a woman ???

  • @marcmgm First of all, yes Alice was an alcoholic, but he was never a druggie, so get your facts straight before posting. Secondly, you clearly don't understand what the song is about. It's an ANTI-domestic violence song. You might want to do your research before making accusations.

  • @marcmgm you are an idiot

  • @marcmgm he singing about it you dunce

  • @marcmgm you are a complete dumbass, did your mother feed you paint chips????

  • @marcmgm You're an idiot and you missed the entire point of that song. In fact, the song talks about the complete opposite of it. It's very anti-abuse and talks about how much shit women take. Pull your head out of your ass.

  • @marcmgm Alice Cooper Is more of a person than youll ever be. hes not glorifying hitting women its the exact opposite. IN FACT he has been married to his wife longer than you ever could. If anyone mates with you i pray to god your genes are all recessive. yes. its called a show. his real name isnt alice cooper. he doesnt walk around in makeup all the time. hes a person just like you and me.

  • @marcmgm I never read it that way; song it was an allegory about abuse (not glorifying it) and I am a woman who lived the brutal side of relationships when young.

  • @marcmgm you are a fucking moron, this is an ANTI woman abuse song.... fucking dumbass

  • @marcmgm was Lita Ford glorifying violence against women when she did a cover of this song? check out the lyrics...this song is definitely sympathetic.

  • @marcmgm are you really going to bitch about a song that you took the time to look up on youtube?

  • @marcmgm How is this remotely glorifying beating women? Have you even listened to the song? "Man makes your hair gray

    He's your life's mistake

All you're really lookin' for is an even break"

  • We love Alice Cooper's performances so much that we decided to form "Malice Cooper" a tribute to the one and only Alice! We're playing at The Ritz tonight in Warren! I'm so excited! We all get to be ROCKSTARS tonight!

  • i saw alice twice in the early 70's......flo and eddie opened up one show and golden earring the other

  • Pardon the morbidity behind this, but, in my opinion, this is a great song to slow dance to and/or "make love to!"

  • Sheryl looks so beautiful and ethereal!

  • This great masterpiece of a song, "ONLY WOMAN BLEED" is NOT true because a fallen jaguar which will stand on all fours for 3 hours will develope a bloody colorless odor if it gets hit in the head too many times by a 90 mile an hour fastball thrown by Joe Namath ! -- So the moral of the story is this ++++++++ Don't believe everything you read or hear because Alice Cooper used to play on The Young and the Restless and used to get caught kissing Victor Neumann on the merry go round GO UP ONE

  • By the time Alice was 36 she became pregnant with a mountain lion that was located in the hills of western Pennsylvania and always was under the watchful eye of the other Roller Derby Woman known to the audiance as them there old "freakin" toothless hoe bags who wanted nothing more to do than watch Alice get her *ussy" get rammed and get pregnant to the mean Jewish Warriors known at that time as the Sultans of Suede ! --- GO UP ONE

  • Now the clincher as to why Alice is a woman and not a man ! -- When the Rollerderby match of the week used to come on EVERY Sunday afternoon in the 70's the Bay City Bombers would arrive at the ball field about 12 minutes early and they would all eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich and smear the strawberry jam all over the heels of their shoes and proclaim victory ! -- Some team members would get so embarrased that they would close their eyes and sing "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hedrix -GO UP ONE

  • So she would go to the parking lot and sun-bathe till the 2:00 warning and then she would file her fingernails and hitch-hike home ! -- So Alice Cooper has many many albums out -- Today they are used as Frisbees at the local beaches on the week-ends then usually recycled under the name brand "Niki" ... Not the shoes but the 3/4 " ramrod which is usuallly inspected at the factory before installing the windshield wipers and the brake line ! -- So you see where I am coming from --- GO UP ONE ---

  • You see, a Falcon is reallly an Atlanta Falcon -- In the middle of the 6th inning the Falcon will bite his wrist with his toungue therefore creating the "metaphore", Alice Cooper is a man ! -- But not so fast, that spiritual myth is not true ! -- Alice was born to an ugly ass Arabian chick named Claudette Claudio -- She was a big whore who used to go to baseball games and eat peoples cotton candy while trying to convince them that her vagina was real wet and ready for GO UP ONE some action ---

  • Alice Cooper is the best -- She still dresses up every night and truly presents herself as the woman that she is -- I know a lot of you people out there have been "lead" to believe that Alice is a guy but that is TOTALLY untrue ! --- I will prove it to you tonite ! --First of all, Alice really means "Falcon" --- Falcon is Cambodiian for Warning ! -- And if you get a warning you are in big trouble -- According to the old Chinese proverbial statement which reads, The FALCON is a man ! --GO UP ONE

  • My fav Alice song an all time classic!

  • beautiful

  • I NEED a time machine so I can see him back then...

  • Love him! I saw him in '72.....a fond memory:)

  • @chairjockey1 You saw Alice Cooper in '72?! How privileged can you get?! Who opened for him-or did Alice open for someone? What venue was it at?

  • Oh it's in 1975, no wonder I'm still waiting for Calico to show up.

  • Gives me the chills - lyrics, melody, his performance, so powerful, never fails to move me x

  • wao this song is so beatiful

  • Powerful song.

  • Awesome as usual!

  • looks like welcome to my nightmare tour 75 , 1977 was king of the silver screen tour seen him 4 time in total back then

  • Yes this vid was filmed on September 11th 1975.

But he DID do the Welcome To My Nightmare Show also in March and April 1977 in Australia and New Zealand, because he was banned from Australia in 1975, so he had to cancel the dates.

In the 1977 Nightmare show, "I Never Cry" was added to the original setlist.

The King Of The Silver Screen Tour started 2 months later.

  • 1975 to be correct:)
