As a plumber I can tell you PVC isn't toxic. The vapors from the PVC primer and glue is toxic but that's only if you breathe it in. Once it's dried you have nothing to worry about. PVC is only toxic if it is set on fire. But any plastic is toxic when burned. Btw working out with a slosh pipe kicks ass.
Question: can you get pipes that aren't made with PVC? I want to make one of these buy want to avoid PVC, which is extremely toxic (more so to produce than to use, apparently).

Slosh tubes are bossa nova. But you have to twist the cap at least a quarter turn, or the seal won't be 100% and it will leak.
