gosh..i remember a live organist playing at the rink too......oh why has this world changed so much.....couldn't some things just be left alone? this is a neat video and thank you redvovvulpes
This is great. I wish there were more organists at the roller rink these days. It's usually crappy dj music they're playing. Kudos to Mr. Keith Fortune!!
The Cleveland Rollercade taught me to love Pipes. Skated there as a youth in 1964-68 with sister Jane who went on to become a 3 time world roller dance champion and is now the figure skating director for usarollersports. Loved your post. Thanks
Keith is, indeed a very talented organist, and a thoroughly nice guy! He's certainly one of the finest organists playing in a rink today, of course the Wurltizer at the Oaks adds a whole other dimension to playing that no other rink has at the moment! Always a blast!
doesn't take too many measures into the song to realize this guy knows how to play...well done

My kudos to the organist! I don't even notice him using printed music. He really seems to be enjoying himself as well as the skaters.

Brings to mind Lawrence Welk and the Champagne Music Makers. My folks used to watch it every week. Those Lennon Sisters were hot.

I wish I could take credit for such awesome playing, but the organist is Keith Fortune. I'll pass along your words!

It's truly amazing that he can do so much of that without even looking. O.O

That's a fun one!
That's an angle on the console that you don't normally get to see...
It's interesting to note that Keith is keeping an eye on the "traffic" out there while playing.
