  • @Fleurzty i love this video... its so informative. i tried a recipe similar to this one, and i whipped it by hand! haha it was kinda runny, but after a day or so, it stiffened up. do you think i should use a hand mixer to make the product more whipped and creamy?

  • does it stay creamy?

  • Do you sell Shea Butter?

  • where did you get the containers from? thank you

  • I have been waiting to find someone doing the mixture in a blender since I don't have a hand mixer. Thanks

  • That's not Shea Butter. That is African butter. I learned that African butter is very very very close to Shea Butter. I would use both of them. My heart is always with SB. I only use African Butter b/c it's easier access around here. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us. I may try it some time : - )) Also, I use African butter when I have luscious ingredients to make it rich. You have lovely locs girly

  • @HipHopcheerleader How do you know that this is African butter? And what is the difference between it and Shea Butter? Thank you :)

  • @FEENIXELEKTRIK

Follow this link that I sent you in a private message. U can't leave messages in a utube reply. The sista is giving the fundamentals, there are other sites where you can look this up for yourself, however she is doing a good job at contrasting and comparing. If you still have questions look it up. There is a difference. I was thrilled when I came across her channel. She is not biased. She's just sharing information hth, I ♥ me some Shea butter : - ))

  • @FEENIXELEKTRIK

    I meant to say u can't leave web links in a utube reply : - ))

ooops, so I sent it to you in a private message. OK. HTH

  • where can i find the grape seed oil?

  • so can u use this mixture as your daily moisturizer?

  • @MzVan21 You can definitely try it and see if it is moisturizing enough for your hair.

  • I order Real unrefined shea butter from etsy.com/shop/NaturalCos site all the time.

They are the best around, you dont have to worry about getting ripped off or getting fake shea.

  • Very informative!!!!! Thnx!!!!

  • SOME AWE!

  • Great Videos...I hear an accent...are you haitian by any chance?

  • @kareng0005 she does infact sound like she may have a haitian accent. reminds me of my family.

  • she does sound Haitian!! I just tuned in and i was like " sa son Ayisyèn!"

  • Hi, thanks for the vid. I'd like to know where u purchase the jars. I would greatly appreciate the info.

  • Love your video you remind me of my good friend moji in canada!

  • How long does this batch last? How do I need to store it? If I use Grape Seed Extract, is that ok also? I read that it was the best preservative to use in natural recipes. Thank you for all the posts!

  • so grapeseed, apricot kernel, coconut, sweet orange, rosemary, ylang ylang?

  • from where do you buy your containers? ....thanks for the recipe!

  • lol i love the instrumental its cute...

  • your welcome.

so since i subcribed to texture playground am i now entered into the contest?

  • Hi I would like a sample.

How can I get one? Also I did subscribe to your contest on texture playground

  • I apologize but I don't have any more. I was making these for my nieces :)

Thanks for the subscription on the blog!

  • very informative...

  • Thanks for the shout out and making the video! I am so excited you used a blender because I don't have a mixer yet. I'm off to the kitchen now!

  • Your channel and blog are so informative. Thanks.

  • Thank you :)

  • I normally mix with the cake mixer too. I tried this method last week and I like the consistency. For a heavier butter though, I prefer to mix with a hand held mixer.

Yeah, I'm still wearing the flat twists lol. Today's the last day though. This style can't hold up any longer! Washing today!

  • Yey! it's so cool to see other natural curlies using homemade mixes. I do the shea butter mix with grapeseed oil and coconut oil but I whip mine with the manual cake mixer thingy. It comes out really creamy and thick like cake batter (I have to remind myself that it's not =)).

your hair looks great! Is this still the flat twist out? If so, it's holding up so nicely! gosh, I'm bad @ flat twisting but hopefully I can try this tonight.

  • Saw this on your blog. Thanks for making a vid about it too :)

  • Nice vid. Where did you buy cute little containers?

  • I get the small containers from Bed, bath and beyond. They're travel size containers. Larger containers, I buy in bulk online.

  • I just love the way that everyone does their mixture slightly different, but yet it all works out in the end :)

    Thank you for posting!

  • i melted my shea butter and coconut oil before melting it and i agree it is more like a shine aggent. i try and do it this way next time. my mixture turned grainy after a couple of days Does ur do that?

  • When melting butters, you have to melt at the recommended temperature. Under heating your butters can cause them to become grainy afterward. If you melt it to the right temperature, it should stay smooth.
