They had to show the relationship between Aragorn and Arwen at some point, and Im glad that they did. Its one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read, And its surprising, because its extraordinarily ordinary and if someone told me about those kind of sacrifices today, Id just laugh and say "Cheesy." But somehow, never for them. :)

The romance was actually settled before the Fellowship embarked — there was no question of her becoming mortal or whether she and Aragorn would remain together. It was a move to make it more marketable. And I can't complain that much: it might not have been so successful, and Tolkien's legacy might have been forgotten.

This is my Favorite musical piece from LOTR trilogy. It is the first appearance of Arwen, when she races against the Dark Riders to save the poisoned Frodo, the last few seconds of this piece is when Arwen Gives up her immortality to save Frodo's life.
