  • I'm 21 and I was diagnosed in september. I'm going to try to get a pump later this year. your pump is super cute. where do you get pump covers? (or whatever its called)

  • @solofunky Haha thanks. I don't get 99's that often and I don't want to have to keep track of them. I am part of facebook's "Type One Diabetes Awareness" group with over 1,900 members. You all should join!

  • Great video, your big containers of stuff is funny, I have shelves at my place. How many 99's have you got or 5.5 with your sugar testing? Log into facebook and look up "The 5.5 and 99 Club" Keep on pumping cya Paul

  • Hi, I'm 19 from the UK and was diagnosed with diabetes 4 days ago (reading was 26 -very high), the doctors still aren't sure if its type 1 or type 2 but I'm being treated as type1 with insulin pens, i hope its t2 but regardless i know i can still live with minimal interruption when i see a positive outlook from people like you. Thanks for the video

  • @NXTGENHD Get on a medtronic pump! Life will be so much easier! hypo's aren't as bad... I'm in Australia, and well facebook is good for talking to people about stuff. we have a big group on "The 5.5 and 99 Club"

  • Great video and attitude, nothing can stop us T1's .

  • Hey Great Video! Nice to see some positive attitudes towards this tough disease. I live it everyday as my son was diagnosed when he was 16 months old and is now 5! I want him to grow up with the same attitude and out look that you have! I run marathons and raise money for JDRF! Hopefully one day we will have a cure! If not I know you guys are tough enough win the battle against the disease without one!! Take care and thanks for the video!

  • If you are interested I will send you a picture. You could be single I will give this a shot .Well I hope that your health is okay.

    Brandon

  • You are one hot women. To bad your married.Well Im type 1 diabetic and hate the needels.Im wondering how does the pump work for you..

  • I'm a type 1 diabetic who was diagnosed at age 16 and it's frustrating to see how type 1 has been overshadowed by type 2. Alot of people don't understand the seriousness of type 1, and the fact you need insulin to live. It's not preventable and there is no cure. Type 1 diabetes is not associated with obesity or lifestyle choices, that is type 2. I love the vid, great job

  • i am a T1 diabetic too - diagnosed a week before my 18th birthday about seven months ago - still in a honeymoon phase. I try really hard to eat low carb so that maybe I can stay in the honeymoon phase for a year....hope is what keeps me going!

  • @mrangelonthemoon Wow, we are very similar in that way! Does your dad ever yell at you to check your blood sugar but you know he hasn't checked his? MIne does.. haha it's so annoying. My dad also gets crabby when he's low, where I usually just get quiet & shaky. Thanks for the support! <3

  • girl i feel you! i also have diabetes type 1, and yes it's really importmant that you have people that understand you :) and yeah my father also has diabetes type 1, so we are very simmilar to eachother:D anyway i wish you good luck with your disease, and about the cure, i'm sure they will find it :) just have hope!:) good luck!! :)

  • @rakeyraker Thanks!! Do you have t1?

  • @danmasucci Thanks!

  • @multimatt1997 I have never actually had the chance to go to a diabetic camp, although I've always thought it was such a cool idea! That's great that you are passionate about helping younger kids with managing their disease, too! :>

  • @princessemiko I'm not sure if you are referring to the fact that most people with type 1 are not obese, then maybe that's why you think that? haha:)

  • this is going to sound weird/ egotistical, but I kind of have a theory that it's mostly good-looking people that get T1 :P

  • hi i have type 1 diabetes as well i have the animas pump i try to live as much as i can day by day and i know there is a cure for this battle that we are going through and thanks for showing what we all have to go through day by day just want to ask do you go to diabetic camp anywhere because i go to lions max simms camp every year till im 16 then i graduate then i can become a cousellor and help the little ones with the things i went through but anyways lol thanks again for uploading this video

  • Nice job! I recognize those juice boxes quite well! If you and your dad are interested check out this sample scene for a film I shot about a family dealing with their son's diagnosis with T1. Search DxONE sample scene or check my videos.

  • @princesslolasluv You're an inspiration.. Thank you.. :)

  • Wow, you are such a strong girl! Very inspiring! :)

  • Very inspiring! My son was diagnosed at 22 months old & he is now 5.5, getting ready to start kindergarten = ) It's a challenge at times as you know but I know it does make him so much stronger. I have hope to, that there is a cure! Thank you for sharing your life. Jessica

  • lmao cool mom..

  • This could really be a good life!!! A good, good life!! I love you Hayley Rose. I'm so proud of you!!!!!

  • Hi, thanks for the inspirational clip. Difficulties are ornaments for the strong individual. I was diagnosed T1 diabetic when I was 19 and it was tough. But I didn't let it hold me back -I am just about to finish a university degree and I am a competitive martial artist. There is nothing we cannot do -except eat too many sweets :D

  • @ThemBonesthere Wow, it must've been pretty difficult being dxd at 19.. I sometimes think I'm "lucky" for kind of growing up with it since I don't remember any real initial frustration that I'd imagine myself having if I was dxd in college. Kudos :) I bet it's hard sometimes managing your b.s. while doing martial arts. I struggle with that when I work out, but it's trial and error. Thanks:)

  • nice video hayley! hopefully i see you and ryan soon! im guessing you can guess its eddie by my username lol

  • @gatorsrok123 Haha thanks, Eddie! :)
