i don't agree either with something that small criminals will never see it coming the obvious disadvantage is the lack of ammo but at 5-10 feet where most altercations take place its hard to miss

but i don't like the 410 shotgun shell i would not want the pellets to hit someone else

actually that's more of a job for a shotgun where the shot type of ammo wont penetrate 2 layers of drywall. the small things such as the derringers are if you get mugged. you just put your hand in their belly and squeeze. and blam. your no longer in a dangerous situation, and the threat is neutralized

Bond makes very nice derringers. Not very accurate but hey most derringers are not. Still they are very fun to shoot and they make good close range carry guns. I own the cowboy defender model in .357 magnum /.38 special .

They are legal in the UK if you qualify for a special permit to use on rodents and if it has a smooth bore.

Smooth bore handguns in the US are illegal.

Due to the conflict of regulations this makes it really tough to get them in the UK.

Snake guns are used to kill snakes that pose a threat to you or someone else.If your out in your yard working and come across a copperhead or something and its crawling into a hole and getting away you just pull out this little gun and no more problem.Drag whats left of it out of the hole and throw it away or skin it if possible after your done with your yards work of course.

I've done some thinking about weapons and rounds intended to kill snakes. Many venomous snake bites occur before the victim is aware of the snake's presence. You don't just stand around when you know there is a dangerous animal nearby... How is the weapon going to help you in that situation? Killing the snake after it's bitten you dosn't really solve the problem. Most other times, unless you're trying to set up a camp or something, you could just leave the snake alone. So why carry a snake gun?

Allot of the times if you live out near the woods, or just out on a ranch, snakes can get near animals, dogs cows ect.

The rounds can also be used on raccoons and other pests that could be a threat in some way.

There are allot of ways to deal with a raccoon that doesn't involve killing it.

It is best to do that then chance getting bit by an animal your not sure about though.

Also if it knows theres food in your house it will be back.

No need to put a hole in your wall over that.

Im sure its easy for someone who doesnt have to deal with snakes very much to say that snakes arent dangerous.But if your actually out hunting for something and not paying attention thats also how people get bit.Thats where this gun comes in handy.A copperhead takes you by suprise BOOM no more snake.You should definately make a video of how this gun performs on the snakes.

One of our trail guides is missing two fingers on his left hand (he's happy it wasn't his shooting hand) after being bitten while just moving debris. Every season, all of us encounter several V-E-R-Y aggressive mojaves and the occasional aggressive cottonmouth. While we rarely have to kill them, sometimes there's no safe alternative - though I prefer a whip or flail. I like to save my ammo (especially with today's prices) for procuring food, or for more dangerous two-legged threats.

Soda you are a dumbass! It will not explode. I bought one of these in a 4.25" snake slayer 4 model and it shoots 00 buckshot with very little if no recoil. I also shot .45 shot shells and #4 shot .410's with no problem. These are extremely fun to shoot! I took that stock grip off and put a custom stag on rosewood grip on it and it is so good looking I'm afraid to shoot it.

You are correct. This is the nicest, safest, pistol of its kind ever made. I shot more rounds out of them than anyone alive. It has two safeties for the hammer, and ever a child lock. Yes they are.

This gun will chamber a 2.5" or 3" .410 shell.

Recoil isn't as bad as you would think because it is solid stainless steel and has good weight balance.

Plus, you can interchange 14 different barrels with 22 caliber combinations all on the same gun.
