  • Where in hell is the tachometer?? That's a stupid design for a MANUAL car.

  • 94 still running...220k miles :)

  • @bartsimpson67543two im 5'11" and i fit fine with room to spare. a 6 footer will fit fine. ride quality is ok. its an economy car. so luxury is sacrificed.. awesome heater in the winter and great traction on the snow.

  • @jmoyet would i be pushing it to say i am about 6'2 or 6'3 would that effect anything

  • THAT IS THE MOST UGLIEST F****** CAR I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE

  • @13579alec Thats too bad.

  • I had one my only complaint was I didnt get it new, It had an issue would not start some times IDK why but the car had been flooded and could have had issue with an electrical component hence the issue. It still got great fuel economy totally SUCKED on the interstate they were not made to go 70 but if you live where the speed limit is 55 on the interstate great car. Ideal for a around town car or a pizza hauler.

  • @cdltpx haha yeah. great around town cars. got to floor it to keep up with freeway or highway traffic.

  • I just bought one today. :)

  • Gas price will hit $5.00 per gallon so please lets restore all the 3 cylinder engine Geo Metro back to life, were gonna need them again.

  • @sideslide23 I'd rather have one of these than a smart honestly.

  • i miss davidsfarm

  • i want a geo as a grocery getter

  • I get 40mpg. Damn that thing is in good condition. You can do 50 PSI on the metro tires. Get great gas mileage.

  • @blaa269 and get a horrible blowout! Yes they tested it on mythbusters.Yes it gives better gas millage because of less tire drag but that also means theres less tire touching the road meaning less traction which = a driving hazard. And not to mention the tire will wear on the center only and will wear faster and the tire can blow explosively. and you wouldnt want to risk your car or your life or the life of your passengers just to save a few bucks at the pump.. would you?

  • @jmoyet I'd like to note that as with all things on the internet YMMV. I have been driving on 50PSI Walmart tires for 2 years, nearly 30k miles. It is true that there is a loss of traction, minute tough it may be. Believe what you will, do what you want! It's my life and I love my 5mpg extra, 50 more miles I can get out of the tank. I wish my rocker panels looked like, you'd think the previous owner of mine drove through a salt pit with all the rust I got under the doors.

  • Geo Metros get craaaaaaazy gas mileage if you keep them maintenance

  • wow you got 54 mpg with that?

  • @DanW900 Yup. Back in the 80's and shit before GM(General Motors) Bought out Geo, they were getting 60 miles to the gallon.

  • I have a '96 hatchback almost identical to yours. I'm glad I haven't gotten rid of mine with these crazy gas prices. Aside from a '82 Dodge Rampage that I had years back, this is the only car that I could fill up with very little money.

  • lol @ Key thing, What the fk

  • do they still make parts for these cars???

  • @JusticeFlash Of course! hehe you can find parts for these cars in any auto parts stores.

  • good old geos and their 54mpgs

  • @kreigsmann Yeah... But since I moved to California now my mother owns it. Now I have a 1990 Honda Accord 2 door.

  • @jmoyet i love those cars!

the f22 in them has oil leaking problems typical of honda

but they are great long lasting cars VERY solid

  • @kreigsmann Yeah mine has 196K. Its a 5 speed manual. it has a knock around the lifters but im going to crack the valve cover open some day and see whats up. might make a vid about it when i do.

  • @jmoyet i doubt it in the lifters

    if it is however

take a can of sea faom and dribble the entire can all over the lifters and cam and let it sit for a about 20 minutes

this will eat up any deposits.

of course the engine has to be very warm when this is done.

afterwards drive it around for about 150 miles and change the oil

    repeated steps mean better results

  • I know a guy wih a green metro just like yours..It doesnt like to start..ever..and its falling apart..but hes a tree hugger and doesnt believe in car maintenance...

  • lol poor metro...

How is he suppose to keep being a tree hugger if he doesn't take care of the best fuel efficient none hybrid car?

Well anyways... sucks for him when it leaves him stranded.

Most Metro's i see around look like crap.. so far mine is the best looking one around my area.

  • He HATES us lol...We have a Ram 1500 (shit.. I personally take care of it its just a shitty truck..) Sedona and its owns everything I have ever had ...and a RIO that sounds just like your metro =8p

  • lol

    Kia Rio's are 4cyl right?

  • 4cyl 110HP ...back in 2006 when the 2nd gen came out that was ALOT!! Rios competition like Aveo Fit and Yaris had 104-107..now the fit has 122!! lol ...but the fit is no longer in the 11-12k price range..like aveo rio yaris are..

  • put in you geo metro a racing mufler (exhaust)

  • I'll probably do that to a second metro when I get enough income.. But I'm planning on keeping that Metro as factory as possible.

  • why . mmm put an induction kit , sounds awesome in a geo metro

  • at least use a turbo muffler, most are te same size as a stock muffler and look/sound stock but flow much better than stock so it'll free up more power gotta let it breathe

  • how many Effing miles do you get per gallon thats what i want to know!!

i only avg city/hwy together 20 in my chevy s-10.. kind of wack.. when i had a 1990 gt ford escort i could get between 26-31

  • I get around mid to high 30's, i rarely try to do eco driving. if i did i would probably get around 40mpg+.

  • im suprised that the rockers arent rotted through!

  • Still holding up.. just got some rust i have to take care of under the car.

  • is firefly engine the same as the geo and suzuki engine?

  • Think its the same engine.. Suzuki 3cyl 1.0L 55hp.

under the hood it should have a Suzuki sticker.

The 3cyl near the bottom next to the transmission it should say "993". if it does its the same engine i have.

There are 4cyl metro's, not sure if there are also 4 cyl firefly's.

  • Yes chevrolet Sprint, Pontiac Firefly, Geo Metro are the import division of GM with suzuki Swift they are all the same

  • i've got the same damn key problem with my geo, it's so annoying when it's -30C!! the lock gets frozen and i gotta get in from the passenger side

  • Mine is just metal to metal grinding. Think I'll spray some lubricant in it.

In the winter use lock deicer, you just put the nosel against the lock and press and it sprays deicer on and in the lock and melts the ice.

  • put a flowmaster muffler on it

  • Maybe some day.
