Great to see real musical talent embracing technology. Wishing nothing but the best for your future endeavors & if a recording is in your future - please inform!
Hi Valerie, this is John Giblin, bassist..I have kust bought a POK thingy, as I'm converting, kicking and screaming, from Jam Man to Ableton.
Do you have, perchance, a pre-set Ableton scene that allows you to move, pass-by-pass, to a separate loop in each incidence, thereby avoiding noise build up in odub mode? ,,not sure if I'm explaining myself v well.
We experimented with the Ableton Live looper tool, and we found it to be too janky and unreliable. So we don't use it. We actually record separate single one-shot audio files into different slots in Live, and play them back together. So it's not Jam Man looping in the original style--it's more like multitrack recording and playback...
consequently, we don't have to worry about noise buildup--'cause we don't overdub. Make sense? V
This is ...wow! If you could see me now, I'm giving a standing ovation. Many many thx Val. Now this masterpiece has a place in my all time favorites (and thx sdstever for brandishing with a flag that says:"He, this is great...watch it". I never regret subscribing your channel)
@chipblock2 Oh thank you so much! I loved the VoiceLive 2 - but it turned out to just be too large for my flying rig (couldn't fit it in my 3-space rack, too big for carry-on luggage) - and our friends at TC Helicon recommended that we try the VoiceLive Touch instead. So since I shot this video, we sold the VoiceLive 2 and got the VoiceLive Touch, which fits on the mic stand and is much easier to travel with. I think they're both wonderful for performance purposes! V
Hi valerie again so which would you say is better the voicelive 2 or voicelive touch, ive just brought the voicelive 2 and not sure whether to swap it for the voicelive touch.cheers andy
@chipblock2 They're both excellent. VoiceLive 2 is more easily programmable....VoiceLive Touch is beautifully designed to use with fingertips on a mic stand. I'd say if size/bulk is not an issue, stick with VoiceLive 2 and you'll love it. V
Thats really amazing God gave u beautiful talent..I see no wires coming form that looping pedal.what kind of looping pedal is that?keep on doing more videos..I see 2 Tc helicon voice live pedals.why did u use 2 pedals?
@jackdifferent You are too kind. To answer your questions: The X-Tempo pok is controlling Ableton Live, simulating keypresses and mouse clicks; and the second TC pedal you see is the Nova System (for the violin). More videos coming soon!
