Indy Car = fucking gay!! DUHfender/DUHsciple and his butt buddies are the only ones getting off on this POS - and getting off they surely are - with each other, of course!!!
What I want to know is this, "Will these things still fly through the air and kill people?"
The answer has to be 'Yes.'
The rear bumper is a joke. It may prevent inadvertent wheel contact, but it can't possibly be strong enough to endure a fast rear-end collision. That sort of contact will still launch the cars at 180+mph into the air. The Crapwagons will continue to kill and maim....
@geonerd I offer my opinion because I know all of these people. As long as they run ovals with that type of catch fencing...the risk remains. This isn't meant to be hard news...if fact...it'll become more opinion than anything in the future...you don't have to agree.
@TGTAP seriously dude? I GUARANTEE that if you put an F1 and an indycar on the same track the F1 would spank the indycar ALL DAY EVERY DAY!! Not to mention a lot of indycar races are just circle tracks... JUST AS LAME AS NASCAR!!
Honestly I think the new car is beautiful. I know that most people hate the car because it isn't completely open wheel, but 80 percent of the back wheel is open. I find that to be selfish really. Would you rather have the same car out there driving under these new rules with double file restarts? I don't think so. The old car was DANGEROUS and took the life of a driver. I hate every time that a car flips into the air because it has hit the back tires of another car. This car is safer to drive.
The oval aero kit looks like crap, but the road course aero kit looks impressive and almost like an F1 car. I want to see videos of the road course car in action, all I find are oval car videos.
@Lock007i calm your balls, man. i don't care how bad it looks. it is SAFE and FAST at the same time. the old dallara was very dangerous at high speeds, it even took the life of the new car's test driver in it's final race, you know who i am talking about. you really need to talk to someone because it seems you need some help with your temper. i wish you had some common sense. the car does look good. i wish you also knew more about the league and how it runs. shame on you, you faggot.
@MotorSportChannel865 go fuck off you ugly prick!! You obviously don't fucking know anything about CART and how great those cars were and how exciting the racing was. The only fucking people who thing 2012 dallara is good looking are 13 year olds who know nothing about racing. The 2012 dallara is the biggest heap of fucking shit ever produced. Shame on Indycar for not choosing Lola and Swift. Indycar is dying a quick death.
Well I think we can agree the the road course configuration looks pretty damn good, almost like an F1 chassis. I think most people are pissed off over the oval version and because I love road course racing way more than oval racing, I've kind of ignored the oval configuration.
It's a fucking spec series, that's rubbish!! Why the fuck is Indycar so afraid to let Lola build cars?? Are they afraid of true competition?? Instead of competition we get ugly fucking lemon Dallaras which have a lethal flying problem.
@jcantstop24 RIP DAN! Unfortunately the new car still would not have saved his life. Any open cockpit flying into the fence is deadly, no matter what the Chasis is.
@AdamBB12 Actually, the rear bumper was designed to prevent the fatal crash. This is a problem that's in all single-seater racing, we've seen fatal airborne crashes in Formula Nippon, F3000, CART, and INDYCAR where the driver's head hits a fence post or a wall during an airborne crash. The first move is to prevent wheel to wheel contact. A long airbox is likely next.
looks a little bit like a le mans car from behind ^^, but still not bad
