Reminds me of the pet store inside the mall I used to work. The foolish owners kept them in a set up like this- except maybe a bit shallower. Every night without fail they would escape and rampage through the store. Hilarious to watch and the store owner deserved it :)

@krumpll yeah, but most people work and have families and such. If you have the time to just take care of one, and spend time with it, than that's perfectly fine. It's just that most people don't, and I feel so bad for them when I see them just sitting there bored and lonely because people don't have the time, energy, or know-how to take care of their pets.
trust me on this one the ferrets reallly grow out of this stage.. i have 7 ferrets used to have 9. but there all well over 4 years old. i also got 2 new ferrets that are 2 years old there so playful the older ones just like to sleep even if you take them out of the cage.. i miss my ferrets when they were like this.
@Al123456ize my 2 ferrets are 5 or 6 (maybe older, i forgot) and they are still just as playfull as they day they came home. BUT we do not keep them in a cage, we let them roam around like our cat and dog .
@TaintedPrinceps we keep ours in a cage because we dont want them to get into anything while were gone.. but when we take them out and let them run and play they get wild.
Question: do you think or know if there are pet stores with ferrets in Thailand, or Bangkok?????? I NEED A FERRET!!! My parents said I could have one if we find one.... XD :(

people are rude, nasty and i hate people, the more people i meet the more i love animals. animals will never cheat you, lie to you or turn their backs on you. im a new ferret owner (in 2012) and even then im holding off until i have enough time and money to support my little guy
Glad to see a PET store that realizes wood chips are bad for ferret bedding. Always use the all natural paper stuff : ) Every pet store i go into is using wood chips like the hamster bedding. This stuff can kill your ferret, there little lungs can't handle the dust and fumes that are immited from the wood/cedar. I inform the pet store owners of this and they just act like i'm retarded. HUH if only they would just look it up and not be ignorant there might be more healthy ferrets out there.

@onebigturtle Spoiling pets is awsome =) If you really want your ferret to feel comfortable, you should get at least 2 ferrets. They really need each other's company. I have 3 ferrets and they really enjoy playing and cuddling with each other. I could never imagine a ferret being all alone, especially when it has to stay in a cage for several hours during the day. I wish you the best for your life with your new pet(s)!

I love my ferret. Hes very funny, comical little creature. He brings great entertainment to my house. He loves chasing my daughter up and down the living room nippin at her toes. He loves my cat, and my dog doesnt know wut to think of him. Lmao. I love these little guys. :D
@farliskicksass from my understanding cali and one other state doesnt allow ferrets because some believe they are related to the rodent family and carry potential diseases, which isnt true at all. They are cleaner than some of our dogs. Lol.

i have a ferret i dont think i did enufe reserch but i have bean learning as i go i will never leave my ferret they are so lovable and unlike hamsters they show love they know who you are and love to play this is not the last time i have a ferret and i love the end of the vidio when they are a sleep

The trick to having them NOT stink is to not bathe them very often. Mine only get baths every two to three months. Bathing them too often removes their natural skin oils and their bodies just work over-time to produce more.
Every time I take my ferts anywhere I hear comments about how they don't stink like other ferrets do. A good book to get is Ferrets for Dummies. LOADS of useful information in there.

ferrets get a bad rap but if you know what you're doing as a ferret owner they are among the best pets in the world. i have had many animals as pets in my life and now have a cat and 5 ferrets. the ferrets are just the sweetest, cutest little guys. they go from crazy racing around war dancing to sleeping and completely floppy in a matter of seconds. they truly are like little living teddy bears. they aren't easy pets but they are very rewarding and always better in multiples!
@paranoidemdroid My girlfriend and I just bought 2 ferret kits after extensively researching the creatures for 3 months. All i can tell people is had we not have done the research and really got to know what we were gertting into the experience would have been drastically different. Ferrets in my oppinion make the coolest pets and they require a lot of work especially as babies but as you put it, the results are very rewarding. We have just had them for over a week now and absolutely love em.
Lots of these little guys end up in shelters. People dont know what they are getting into before they buy them, and then they just dump them off. I hate people.

But, my excuse for getting rid of them was kind of reasonable, I guess. We had two ferrets, about the age of these guys, unti maybe two years later, and we finally gave them off to a better place, 'cause, well, our dog, who we had for afew years prior, kept on mistreating them. Finally, instead of keeping them penned up, we opted for giving them off to a far better place. Still.. I miss my Smokey. /sadface
@TheChoada Adoption is the 1st Option! :) I adopted 2 little guys a while ago and they are GORGEOUS. I can't imagine why they were abandoned cos they are just the best little buddies you can get!
@TheChoada I agree!! I got both my little ones off of craigslist for the very reason that the previous owners didn't know anything about ferrets and didn't know what they were getting into. The oldest was 2 and a half and had 3 previous owners before me. The youngest was 4 months old when I got her and had 2 previous owners. I did research before I got them and I can't imagine ever getting rid of them.
@twinklette66 I took my little guy to the vet two days ago for a checkup, and there was a construction worker there with a kitten with blood coming from its mouth and broken bones in its paw. Someone driving down the highway in front of his shop was throwing unwanted kittens from their moving vehicle. They didnt even bother to take them to the shelter. As I said before, I hate people. The older I get and the more evil I see in people, the more I hate them. Not you though, Im just venting, sorry.

ferrets get a bad rap but if you know what you're doing as a ferret owner they are among the best pets in the world. i have had many animals as pets in my life and now have a cat and 5 ferrets. the ferrets are just the sweetest, cutest little guys. they go from crazy racing around war dancing to sleeping and completely floppy in a matter of seconds. they truly are like little living teddy bears. they aren't easy pets but they are very rewarding and always better in multiples!

@paranoidemdroid My girlfriend and I just bought 2 ferret kits after extensively researching the creatures for 3 months. All i can tell people is had we not have done the research and really got to know what we were gertting into the experience would have been drastically different. Ferrets in my oppinion make the coolest pets and they require a lot of work especially as babies but as you put it, the results are very rewarding. We have just had them for over a week now and absolutely love em.

Lots of these little guys end up in shelters. People dont know what they are getting into before they buy them, and then they just dump them off. I hate people.

@TheChoada yeah...they think they know whats right and wrong but they don't have a heart is what they dont have these cute animals of nature are always being dumped on the street alone,forgotten,abandonned when really they can be just as safe and normal as a regular human being

But, my excuse for getting rid of them was kind of reasonable, I guess. We had two ferrets, about the age of these guys, unti maybe two years later, and we finally gave them off to a better place, 'cause, well, our dog, who we had for afew years prior, kept on mistreating them. Finally, instead of keeping them penned up, we opted for giving them off to a far better place. Still.. I miss my Smokey. /sadface

@TheChoada Adoption is the 1st Option! :) I adopted 2 little guys a while ago and they are GORGEOUS. I can't imagine why they were abandoned cos they are just the best little buddies you can get!

@TheChoada I agree!! I got both my little ones off of craigslist for the very reason that the previous owners didn't know anything about ferrets and didn't know what they were getting into. The oldest was 2 and a half and had 3 previous owners before me. The youngest was 4 months old when I got her and had 2 previous owners. I did research before I got them and I can't imagine ever getting rid of them.

@twinklette66 I took my little guy to the vet two days ago for a checkup, and there was a construction worker there with a kitten with blood coming from its mouth and broken bones in its paw. Someone driving down the highway in front of his shop was throwing unwanted kittens from their moving vehicle. They didnt even bother to take them to the shelter. As I said before, I hate people. The older I get and the more evil I see in people, the more I hate them. Not you though, Im just venting, sorry.

They have a pretty decent setup there. Many pet stores keep their animals in some shitty 1x2 cages.

Gah .... When They Get To This Age/Stage They're Little Monsters!
