Are u running the friday through the fx loop?. I'm guessing not. It was way to abrupt sounding. Try running it in it fx loop. :-)

They are Alnico V's (as are the American Standard pickups).

The Texas Specials are just wound a bit hotter.

do these have a good low end because i want to put them on a 50's classic vibe strat to get rid of a little of the really thin high end but still keep great treble

@JMLizardKing1971 they have a beefier tonlity than the stocks or the vintage stuff. slightly more output and mids and lows but cuts a little treble off. so yeah they seem like exactly what youre asking for.

rather than the stock single coil picks up of the american standard, it has texas special pick ups which are also made by fender and also single coil but wound tighter.
