Hello David & viewers of this video, I have a request and as this moving story appears to be a good place to reach the people I'm looking for, I hope it's okay that I post here.
I'm an actor & theatre practitioner in London, currently working on a verbatim project on the AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM and needing willing participants to share their views & experiences. Please click my Channel for more info. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, David, or any page visitor. Thanks.
Just tell them that you're an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT and they'll set you up with free health care, housing assistance, and a welfare check- no questions asked.
Don't tell them you're an American taxpayer, you'll get denied and shit on.
@RayAir1 Really...Humm Where is that because I live in MD for at least 11 years
and lately I've felt the need to seeing a doctor and nobody had ever told me where to find all these wonders I'd actually love to have all that imagine all the money I would've saved in between working for paying medical bill rent medicine oh boy the list goes long...
I am a California attorney. I am going to file a lawsuit against Medicare, to open it up to everybody. I need 1000 plaintiffs, please respond to my youtube page if you are willing to be a named plaintiff and also apply for Medicare, and if you are under 65.
Its situational application of the law, we pay for bogus insurance - Corporate crooks get rich, Progressive utilizes dumb caricature to sell worthless insurance policies. There is nothing funny about death and mangled bodies. Progressive is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme in which Corporate Executives such as Glen Renwick get rich and leave injured policy holders bogus insurance policies which are not worth the paper they are written on. See Progressive Insurance Has Treated Me as Roadkill
David's story is important b/c as he says, if this can happen to a nurse who is sophisticated in regards to navigating the health care system, what happens to those who aren't?? This has to be FIXED NOW!

Ca'nt afford it then die you commies , the healthcare system is just fine here in the United States Of America ! Why should my tax dollars pay for your kids health , your kids can die for all i care . God bless america !
Go to London, the banking and insurance industries dictate it all. And, the money made in pharma . . . I just called about a home equity loan and to my surprise with all of the FED RESERVE lowering of interst rates have found out it is a SCAM. Interest rates are higher than ever before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David: I remember reading your story in "Registered Nurse" a while ago. Your case is another example of how perverted our health care system has become because of the insurance industry.
I hope you do get to fulfill your desire to cut back on working and pursue other interests. Kudos to you and the CNA for bringing this issue to the forefront.
The bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks... garoumec your heart is a black hole! We have seen enough of it here, go somewhere else and spew your nastiness and stop wishing cancer on people don't you know the very death you wish for someone else can be your own.

Why stop with universal healthcare for only Americans? Sounds a little selfish to me. If you really care about helping people, send the tax money to Africa and help 100 times more people. But in reality, this arguement of "helping the poor" is really a mask for "steal from the rich" and give ME free healthcare.
Dear Sir/Madam, After working hard for over 25 years and built a decent life for my self and my family, because of and due to the last 10 years of persistent epileptic seizures, I lost my wife, my home, my job, my car and my driving license to become destitute homeless. I've been told by Stanford University, I need brain surgery to cure my seizures but I don't have health insurance. Can you please help, Thank you, Regards, Gerrie
Americans should know that HR 676 will cost less and provide complete health care benefits. Workers will have freedom to change jobs without fear of losing health care coverage, and employers will not be shackled by health care costs. It is the single best thing we can do for our economy.
dalegambill, freeing employers from health care costs makes sense. Allowing workers to change jobs without changing insurance makes sense too (and would work well with the first point.) Providing health care as an entitlement to every American, as a means of implementing the first two points, carries with it a host of other serious problems to which I am opposed.
Sorry this is frustrating because i have to limit my answer to 500. below does not make much sense do to the lack of space. *sigh* anyway i do agree with you on some things but others i dont.
Speaking of pharmaceuticals; why does the FDA require clinical trials to prove safety AND efficacy? Do consumers actually buy ineffective products? (I.e., cars that don't run, homes that don't shelter, drugs that don't work, etc.) Establishing efficacy adds about 40% (Dr. Gratzer's study) to the cost of bringing a drug to market.
Another interesting topic is Prilosec vs. Nexium (The Purple Pill); Dr. Gratzer addresses in his book why the same pharma company would produce two products that do the same thing equally well...and then mega advertise direct to consumers "Nexium - The Purple Pill"
dane3026.I really don't appreciate you defaming me.I am not malicious or irrelevant.I am not asking and begging god to kill you. I just pray and wish he send a long and incurable cancer on you because you are a rich, strong man with the best healthcare insurance,so you can take care of yourself.I wish cancer on you again.
Garoumec, defamation is a verbal statement. Libel is written. My statement was written. So I definitely was NOT 'defaming' you. Besides, I was characterizing your COMMENTS (not you) and how YOUR comments EXEMPLIFY your character.
dane3026.defamation or libel or whatever.I beg of you not to twist my words.I pray and wish cancer on you or a long long long illness, but never didn't I mention for you to be dead, even though I think you deserve more than that.If there's really hell, you already have caved yourself a nice hot place in it.Once again,I wish cancer on you ,not death.
dane brings up a valid point. I just think that healthcare should be govened by the govenment because too many people are getting denied. Research needs to be done by pharma companys. at the same time they also need to charge a resonable price.
i am so glad i live in australia - this would NEVER happen here. why is your health care system so expensive and so exclusive? it seems only people who dont need it can get it!!
dane you dont understand!!! colleges and universities can do research. research and universial healthcare is nothing alike. In canada we have just got a new drug that may treat cancer cells and leaves the good cells, and we have social healthcare? Just because socail helathcare exists it doesnt mean research will stop. I mean the drug industry will find a income somehow!
keegansillaf, you are proving my point. If we should not care about profits (i.e., remove the profit incentive to cure the problem), why would you advocate that universal health care is OK because "the drug industry will find a income somehow!" I thought we were against drug companies making money?!
I will admit my understanding is not comprehensive, but from reading your comments, I would venture that yours is not either. I read Dr. Gratzer's book; I'm also reading Dr. Don Sloan's book "The Corporate Takeover of Healthcare in America" It's easy to see the flaws in Sloan's analysis. So why would I trust his solutions?
I'm a Canadian, I've just read that HR 676, bill. Where do I sign to get something like that up here? Our provincial systems are routinely mismanaged, but "federal roads are always well-paved" if you get my drift.
Dane, so the system that's largely fueled this problem, the world of for-profit capitalism that's wormed its way into our health care system, is going to fix the problem? I don't buy it, buddy.
I disagree, jblanch3. The "world of for-profit capitalism" HAS NOT "wormed its way into our health care system." The profit incentive has always been in every part of the American economy - healthcare, auto industry, farming, etc. The problems don't stem from the profit incentive. The problems are multi-faceted. And it's an oversimplification of the problem to blame the profit incentive.
There is a mixture of TRUTH and deluded INNACURACIES in this video. Read Dr. David Grazter's book "The Cure: How Capitalism Can Save American Health Care" to understand the cause of our current system's problems, what is NOT the solution (i.e., national universal health care)and how free-market CAPITALISM fuels INNOVATION to supply solutions.
Why the foul language, 'clops'? I'm free to express my opinions, as are you. However, (as I suspect), my arguments are superior to your arguments, so you resort to intimidation. Tsk, tsk.

His heart had to GROW three times its size. And, Christmas did come to pass, despite the Grinch's well laid plans to keep it at bay.

This election will see the passage of a national healthcare plan; I feel certain of it.
Health insurance is essential to being a productive member of society. It's as basic as clean water.
Those that DON'T think OTHERS should have what THEY personally have....will not win out this time. There are more of us than you!
Until we walk our talk in our own country, we should not go overseas.
As for lorax2013...The GRINCH did NOT win out in Who-ville. His heart 3x's its size.
