Yeah, this is great. Unless you read a FAQ WAY ahead in advance and prepare for the mission specifically, Malik dies. That's a GREAT way to make a game, Eidos!

Why can't a game be made where you have a chance to succeed without needing to read a spoiler FAQ or watch a YouTube movie to progress?

this part is very easy if u have a lot of energybar candies...... did it on hard mode .... in 3 min or so.... it was my 3rd go on the game :))

honestly i had no idea this was coming. I mean, i'm so used to characters not being able to die outside of cutscenes, this game breaks down that barrier, YOU make the chooses as you go and its freaking amazing.

He did well with the revolver but you can do the same with 10 mm, and a couple typhoons. then mop up with a laser combat gun (not the large rifle)... that's how I did it.  Obviously we're playing different styles... but Malik was saved and that's a good thing!

Dude try it on the hardest setting.. it's like 3-4 shots and you're a goner. I wasn't even sure she could be saved, so I sat back with the sniper and tried it a couple of times. Glad I did, malik was awesome.

I was able to do it with nothing but the 10mm heavily modified of course, but on "give me a challenge" difficulty.

I used my 10mm pistol that I've upgraded immensely. It even worked against the security bot. Plus head shots work against everything so yeah.

love how he blast away at that robot for hours....dude you got no finesse :P use the tranq gun and just casually lob an EMP grenade on that robo...done! At least one thing that was easier with that type of character

@DieKao yeh i had no tranq gun or emp grenades, that was my first play through and I didn't go look anything up so I had no idea that was even coming....

i did this on normal difficulty by simply rushing them with heavy rifle while using cover, dropping a emp mine on the mech and throwing other explosives as i was trying to kill the rest. Finished it by sniping the 2 snipers in they're perches. I had a shit load of equipment since my augs lean towards combat, and all that on the first try so it wasn't as hard as i thought that it would be.

I am on my "give me deus ex" play through, I haven't gotten to far into the game but managed to get there so far without killing and without setting of any alarms. IF I can get through Barret and Federova imma be looking forward to this part.

Saving Faridah WITHOUT killing anyone is really, really hard. It helps that all the enemies are distracted but you have to very quickly get to the heavy-rifle soldiers and knock them out before they get to the robot landing spot, since knocking them out there and then killing the robot will kill anyone nearby in the resulting explosion, which you get blamed for. I had to go nuts on the candy to do this part.

@Akzon0r How did you kill the robot then? -.- I just threw 2 emp mines where it lands, that also takes out like 3 soldiers from the robot explosion :D

I used the explosive barrels and then picked up the minigun with all the ammo and starting circling around it and shooting it, it died eventually

i did this on the normal difficulty using this technique except i stayed behind cover and killing everything when the robot came down i was like o shiiiii but luckily my explosive rounds took quick work of it :)

I managed this on normal with a 10mm Pistol, its got extra damage, AP, laser sight and increased ammo cap.

Went pretty easy.

I saved her using the heavy rifle on normal. Maxing your arms so there's no recoil when shooting helps a lot. I'm playing as a stealthy character so I did die a couple times before saving her.
