My great-grandfather died November 2010 and I lived with him from the age of 4 to 13 and those were the best years of my life, I'm now turning 14 in August and everytime I listen to this song I have to wipe tears off my keyboard because when he was in the hospital and they said he had only 2 - 5 days left my heart sank and the last day he was alive the doctor really did say me crying and screaming was what was keeping him here. I was in pain and he knew. I finally told him I loved him, I'm okay.

It's not depressing to me. It is about a love that is so pure and true that it defies even the biology of growing old. It is about a love that is so heart felt, that it can be remembered through the tests of time. It is comforting to know that there is someone out there that can hold you in such wonderment that you carry them with you until the end. I'm sobbing right now. My great uncle died of Alzhiemers and my grandma (his sister) fell on the ice and hit her head really hard and now it's all going downhill. I'm so scared...

@samantha0says - I do cry to this song. I have a great aunt that was like that before she died. And she was from Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Its a wonderful song, though. I just love Rascal Flatts.

this song actually made me cry, my grandma to a letter. its sad now, because shes in the hospital hanging on the edge of death and yet shes living day to day. she speaks as if shes still 20, but shes over 95. i love my grandma

It's not depressing to me. It is about a love that is so pure and true that it defies even the biology of growing old. It is about a love that is so heart felt, that it can be remembered through the tests of time. It is comforting to know that there is someone out there that can hold you in such wonderment that you carry them with you until the end. I love this song and I thank God that I have found that one for me.
