I miss the old days and all the people of the(my), past,I miss everything about it,eventually there will be no one left from that age and we too will be but a memory.Neither the world nor life has ever been fair but dammitt it's just so depressing at times.
Esta cancion es fantastica, no la resisto, por favor invoquemos al DR hook, y que venga a mexico, por lo menos saber de este grupo. saludos atte ja610808
The problem with Dr Hook? You listen to one song and it's your favourite, you listen to their next one and IT'S your favourite, the next one then beomes your favourite. That's the thing, every one of their songs is your favourite! But who can blame me when they make such beautiful music? The word 'fantastic' was inevented because people knew these guys were coming along.
@tokitten I had to laugh at your remark. Yes, if you look at these guys, except for lead singer, Dennis Locorriere, they ARE regular guys. But, Dennis, now there is a very irregular person. He doesn't approve of our enjoying his music on YouTube. Takes great exception to it, in fact.
@gttdkt I grew up on the Medicine Show Revisited. Love it and have bought it 2-3 times. Seems someone always makes off with it. The thing I love most about youtube and having these videos is that it expands my knowledge on Dr Hook. I don't want to buy a cd randomly without knowing if I will like it. I have listened to a couple songs today that I may never have heard if not for youtube. But I buy cds for true listening. Dennis, this could help sell cd's. Embrace it! To the band. Thanks! Love ya!
the music of the 70's was truely the best. known as the period of the storytellers. and this but another song that confirms that. reminds me a girl i once knew back home. we lost touch over the years and i let her slip away. the biggest mistake i ever made. where are you Rowlena D from Duncan, Ok.? i miss you and the music from that era. the 70's what an awesome time it was! thank you Ray & Dennis for the music you gave us.
My opinion, Dennis's voice and talent is second to none. And that includes Elvis and Sinatra. If you will spend some time to listen to him, you will see what I am saying. I'm not talking about charisma or his stage presence or name recognition. But his beautiful voice and delivery. Dennis never misses a word or a note. Perfection.
@gttdkt You are "right on" with that observation! He felt his music! I saw them in concert and the band took a break. Dennis sat on the edge of the stage and did Sylvia's Mother acoustic, by himself, and nearly had the audience in tears. I know I had a few trickle down my cheek. Yes, great band, great music, and I miss it terribly!
Great voice. Don't send fan mail. I did, and Den's answer was very rude. Made me want to cry to realize that the spirit of the person didn’t match the lovely voice. I can only guess that the reason he lives in the U.K. is because he has alienated the whole North American continent. It is a pity; with his talent, he should be on top of the charts. My respect for the rest of the band went up about 100 notches, since they had to tolerate him for 15 years.
Songs today can't really be called songs with all the screaming & shouting so bad you can't understand what they are saying. I'm not saying 70's didn't have that too, but if you listened to groups like this or country from back then most times they told a story.
@FreeRider41Ply ur argument sucks. " I'm not saying 70's didn't have that too, but if you listened to groups like this or country from back then most times they told a story." if u listen today theres a story too, but the story has changed like everything does
@19punkface the 70's will never be matched. Genuine music, no digitalizing, well not so much synthesizing. beautiful. I'm a grateful 50 something. God love em. : )

You know the sad thing is, they probably wouldn't get a contract today, because other than the lead singer, they look like regular guys.
