  • @zumb9 It is 9/8 which is as if you play 2/8 + 2/8 + 2/8 +3/8 one after another! It is very popular in the east. It comes from orthodox church to fix music over the text, not the oposite. In Bulgaria we use it in different ways, almost as you want, could be : 5/8, 7/8 (most popular) etc and the 3/8 could be wherever you like changing the rythm significant ( eg if it is 9/8, then it could be 3/8 + 2/8 + 2/8 + 2/8 or 2/8 + 3/8 +2/8 +2/8 or 2/8 + 2/8 + 3/8 + 2/8 or 2/8 + 2/8 + 2/8 +3/8)!
