  • Man. The USC devs should really consider adopting some of the UX concepts from this. It just seems so clean and well-organized.

  • Hey, guys. It looks like Pear OS has adopted our Deepin Software Centre. You might want to try that one if you cannot wait for Linux Deepin 11.12-en

  • I am a member of the Linux Deepin Team. We will provide packages for Ubuntu and Debian some time after we publish our 11.12 (based on Ubuntu 11.10). The current package may not work on Ubuntu without some tweaks :)

  • @ssngiraffe Please relase english version ^_^ .

  • @lakicar1989 Of course it can be used in English :) We currently support Chinese (both simplified and traditional) and English.

  • @ssngiraffe Then translate website,its kinda HARD to understand :D .

  • @lakicar1989 Yes we will soon finish redesigning the website and it will support English as soon as possible.

  • 1:16 You're not really thinking in uninstallin' Evince Are You??

  • The best app store on Ubuntu Software Center is Google Chrome and Vuze

  • :O! Is this available for Ubuntu?!

  • *drool*

  • It's faster than Ubuntu's Software-Center but i think "Keep hands off from software from china!". Sorry.

  • First MIUI now Deepin Software Centre you see where we going ?! China stopped plagiarism and is now going OpenSource !

  • @RockGodFuck MIUI is not Open Source, despite being based on an Open Source Project!

And I'm looking for the source code of Deepin Linux, haven't fount it yet

  • @phiphi1 That's not what I said.. I said instead of doing illegal plagiarism they now go legal in modifying OpenSource projects...

  • @RockGodFuck By "going Open Source" I understand release the source code of a project or participate in one.

BTW: I found the Source of Linux Deepin parts on github! search for or user manateelazycat

  • @phiphi1 Yes, "ManateeLazycat" is our developer of the Deepin Software Center.

  • @RockGodFuck That would be cool. Instead of copying stuff, they should innovate and make good stuff. China should stop focusing on copying existing stuff and create their own stuff like this.

  • Way-way better than Ubuntu Software Center. All that people asked for is in it... And the UI is better.

  • @aliancemd soooo true!

  • is it available in english?!?!! and if it , then could u give us the link for testing !!

  • @Svuru We're holding it on github here

    github.com/manateelazycat/repositories

It is available under English of course, but the current version may not work under Ubuntu or Debian without some tweaks.

  • @ssngiraffe Hello .. im using it now , but the problem is , not everything in english , kinda like apps its in chines and all the information's about it in chines and the compiz has some problems with it. doesnt work that well with it.

  • @Svuru I'll check this tomorrow or the day after... Thanks for the information.

About the compiz thing: we're using gnome-shell which is different from gnome2 in supporting compiz. In other words, you are not able to use compiz together with gnome-shell like the old way.
