If I chew 5 leaves at a time, that's only 0.0075 grams of cocaine, absorbed much more slowly. Source to be posted.
You got your math all wrong. If there is 0.8% of cocaine in a 2 gram leaf then that means you are ingesting 0.016% cocaine per leaf. If you are using 5 leaves at a time that means you are ingesting 0.08% cocaine.
That is a far cry from 0.0075%.
And cocaine is cocaine. No matter how small of quantities, it is still detrimental to your health.

Multiply by 5 leaves and you get about 0.034g total. You are talking about 1/300 of a gram. It is absorbed much more slowly than pure cocaine (over the course of 1-3 hours), and all the cocaine will never be absorbed because you don't swallow the leaves. You could swallow this much arsenic without negative effects.

There has been plenty of research done on the effects of coca. You got your math all wrong. If there is 0.8% of cocaine in a 2 gram leaf then that means you are ingesting 0.016% cocaine per leaf. If you are using 5 leaves at a time that means you are ingesting 0.08% cocaine.
That is a far cry from 0.0075%.
And cocaine is cocaine. No matter how small of quantities, it is still detrimental to your health.

@coldbedsheets I took averages rather than simply using the max number, so 1.5g x 0.45% equals 0.675% of a gram. Divide that by 100 and you have 0.00675g per leaf. Multiply by 5 leaves and you get about 0.034g total. You are talking about 1/300 of a gram. It is absorbed much more slowly than pure cocaine (over the course of 1-3 hours), and all the cocaine will never be absorbed because you don't swallow the leaves. You could swallow this much arsenic without negative effects.

My final point is that anything in too high a quantity is bad (cocaine, caffeine, chlorine, radiation), but in very small doses, all of these things have potentially beneficial effects (mild stimulants, sterilization, and x-rays). Redbull causes irregular heartbeat, digestive problems, and insomnia among other effects. You have yet to show me that coca in it's unrefined form is more dangerous than your energy drink.
