Nice. I'm actually looking for a volume pedal right now so your vid helps alot. I'll keep an eye out for the Morley L. Alligator. But does the Boss FV-500L Stereo Volume Pedal do the same thing out of curiosity? And how do you get that feedback at 0:26?
ijust got a tc electronic g major 2 and the waiting made me crazy im running it in the effects loop of a marshall mode 4 head into a mf400 watt cab, I play a jackson soloist sl3 and i cleared my last savings and sold sum shit and i just ordered Tech 21 midi moose floor pedal and a bad horsie 1 wah and a Llittle Alligator volume pedal. Now the waiting is insane ahhhhhhhhh.
never been a huge rush fan (i've always liked them, just not as much as i like vh or floyd )but the last couple years i've gotten into them a lot more. It took me a while to appreciate how deep and complex their music is i suppose. pearts lyrics are awesome.
i think im going to buy a volume pedal... Its not that cosmic with the quality of the sound i think. volume is volume.. Im going for the little aligator.
in this particular vid it is just the hughes & kettner tube factor (the clearest and best distortion pedal ever. it gives you more gain and saturatiion & makes your tone clearer instead of more muddy.) the echo and reverb effects are from my tc electronic gforce unit.
thank you. the washburn idol is one of the most underrated guitars out there. i think i paid $250 and this is the best playing and sounding guitar i have ever owned. ive had at least 50 guitars...multiple les pauls, ibanez jems and several s-models, ernie ball evh, strats, esp's...all the brands from cheapos to high end $2000 models. this idol beats them all. the buzz feiten tuning thing is the real deal...makes a big difference to my ears.
i would but it really comes down to personal taste. the buzz feiten tuning is a subtle but great feature. my chords and notes up the neck suddenly were more in tune. you can play in perfect pitch all over the fretboard. the cutaway allows great access up the neck too. the tone pots roll off to a thinner sound when put below 5. it is supposed to simulate single coils but does not to my ears. just cleans it up a bit. i like the stock pickups too.
cool

@Kardflow never tried the boss unit. it's just amp feedback as you raise the volume.

What is that thing on the body of your guitar that runs under the strings by the bridge?
jmac2wenty1 1 year ago
@jmac2wenty1 that was for a roland guitar amp modeler.

I just got a Morley Power wah/ volume pedal, its awsome....Especialy if you play a lot of Rush.
Rushworshiper92 2 years ago
really? because i am a rush fun and i am looking for that alex tone.
joakorush2112 2 years ago
I believe it is 75% in the playing. alex could play through steve vai's rig and still sound like he was playing through his h&k rig i'll bet.

does that have a swich or something for minimum volume boost and total volume pedal?
TacooGrill 2 years ago
it has a minimum voulme dial. the morley vai stuff just seems to work for me. the travel and the taper on these seem to feel right when i use them.

does this volume pedal act as a pot on your guitar? or when your turn it down it still keeps your full amount of gain?
UnderDeceptionMetal 3 years ago
it does act like a pot on the guitar but to a less amount.
