@schweingut1 I have not seen very many blu-ray videos on my mac. Only one infact. But the quality is very good. And in my opinion, it seems to be better than YouTube 1080p

hard to tell from this video, is the picture quality razor sharp like blu ray is suppose to be, or does that depend on the graphics card or plug in bluray drive your mac is using?

@joshascott I have been using Blu-ray on my PS3 and my PC for a long time. And the best looking solution so far is my Mac. The quality is perfect. And the glossy screens make it all look super fantastic.

OK this is good, but if you need an external bluray player what's so convenient about it? I thought it would play them on the Mac drive.
