Gravel is so full of shit it's beyond me. Universal health care? That's only going to raise the price of health care for everyone while lowering quality and the time it takes to get to the doctor. Deregulate the health industry and prices will fall rapidly, while quality will rise. Also, with less taxes (Gravel just wants to tax us more via the so-called "fairtax") we'll be more able to pay the costs.
Bullshit! Mike Gravel is more libertarian than Ron Paul!?! *lol* This is where you lost me Mike! You are a thief! You are trying to get a piece of a revolution that you did not create - you are attempting to get this whole movement behind you just by associating yourself with libertarians. I hate that! If Ralph Nader wouldn't be running for greens, Mike Gravel would! Here's a reading list for you Mike Gravel - Bastiat, Adam Smith, Mises, Rothbard, etc. Read up and study up! mises . org
On health care, Gravel really shows his non-libertarian side. He has joined the party of principle, but he tries to convince them to sacrifice principle to expedience: "This message is not going to sell to the American people."
But is gaining votes at the expense of principle really the path the LP wants to take? Where does the Constitution give the federal government permission to intervene in the health care market?
So if someone doesnt have healthcare they should crawl in a hole an die? Believe me people have a interest in surviving and will get that money any way they can. No healthcare induces criminal behavior out of need. Many of these candidate are not realistic about the peoples concerns except for Sen Gravel.
It used to be that when you didn't have health insurance, you could still go to a doctor and make other arrangements with him. Charity care of that nature has been regulated out of existence--but you can always go on welfare and get health care that way. The government already pays for like almost 50% of all health care and that's the reason why it sucks so bad. You want them to do 100% of health care instead?

That is why we will have the NI4D. We can amend the Constitution and make an effective health care plan.
