  • CHILLS!!!!!! YEAH

  • One word: HOT!!!! You go girl!!!

  • Me encanta Peggy, esas eran mujeres, con todas las curvas que tenían que tener, en los lugares recomendados por mi médico.

Por supuesto. excelente estilo, transgresorísima en aquellos años.

Música ideal para después de la medianoche.

  • I absolutely love the unintended fuzziness and lack of quality which sounds exactly like my old transitor radio...OMG 1:17 is obscene!

  • whats the name of this dvd or documentary i dont know!... ive been looking for any dvd of peggy but i couldnt fing it!!!!

  • Does not matter about the age of the film. In fact, adds to it. This is the Peggy Lee my grandmother told me about with such appreciation and respect, and the Peggy Lee and my grandmother I went looking for. Here, I found them both. Thanks!

  • Love her, love this song. Yes, if you could rerecord it and adjust the sound it would be even better. Thanks a ton. Liz

  • i love this song so much. and i love peggy. :)=p.s. if u look closly. :59-1:01 she looks like Lisa Marie Presley ♥♥♥

  • Классная певица. Специально пишу по-русски, т.к. скоро вы все будете говорить по-русски ( или по- китайски). Шутка.

  • nadeus... :)

  • good old school luv it thanks for putting in on mate :)

  • hey sorry, my dumb ass 13 year old retarded sister keeps going on my page and writes to different people....i love peggy lee and this is a great song

  • No problem, Rozy. Obviously you are the sister with the best musical taste in the family! :))

  • Well, as you say that's your opinion, and different people will have different tastes. But no point saying any of this if you don't clarify: what's the version that you like?

  • Did Peggy Lee sing sentimental Journey? Seems I remember seeing a album cover with her. Maybe with Glenn Miller Band backup or my memories wrong? Thanks for posting going to make a big band section for my playlist,,,,

  • Peggy lee does justice to this song

  • Great voice but this is another case of a white artist turning a song by a black artist into riches while Willie John never became rich from the song he wrote and sang originally. Pat Boone also became rich and famous with his version of a Fats Domino song.

  • You've posted this nonsense under various videos in which Peggy sang this song. I replied to you at length under one of the other videos. Without repeating all of that, I'll just say here that you should know what you talk about, before you post. You are completely wrong in your points about Peggy's version.

  • Picposter wrote to me that "Willie did write & rec. the song before Lee. She became rich & famous from the song while John lived in poverty & basically unknown. Thats NOT nonsense, that is a FACT." No, Pic, that's not fact, that's IGNORANCE. Must I tell you again that Willie DID NOT WRITE the song?? And if Peggy became rich, it wasn't because of this song in particular. Acc. to some estimates, Willie's version actually sold more than Peggy's. Longer answer already under other Fever clip.

  • I stand corrected for some earlier comments about this song.

Fever" is a song credited to Eddie Cooley and "John Davenport" (a pseudonym for Otis Blackwell). The song was a rhythm and blues hit for Little Willie John that crossed over and became a pop standard after being transformed, with additional lyrics, by Peggy Lee. Otis Blackwell is a black songwriter that wrote songs for both black and white artist.

  • Thank you, Picposter, for setting the record straight. Very nice and considerate of you.

  • Yeah. The problem with this clip here is that it was apparently taped off TV. But you can see it in much better quality if you get the DVD "Fever: The Music of Peggy Lee." In any case, Peggy gives a great interpretation.

  • =) Who doesn't love Peggt Lee?

  • Watching Peggy Lee in this video GAVE ME FEVER

  • Another proud bbw moment in time. What a classic, lovely clip. Thanks for the vid!

  • Get on down, alright!

  • It would be nice, as a mother, not to see comments using the "ef" word, referring to gang raping a woman. These types of comments should be thought about before voicing them. You don't know who you are hurting.

  • Ferver isnt original from Madonna????I thought that!!!

  • Madonna is not the beginning of time, Darwleg! There has been music before and after her! Geez..

  • Ofcourse Madonna is the begining of time! She was there when the universe was being created...didnt u know??

    DARWLEG!!

    lmao

  • Ya that made a whole bunch of sense

  • I love peggy lee and I'm 27

  • Peggy was the coolest ever!

  • omg dis gurl can sing she has class and style she gives classics a whole new name

  • She looks like Scarlett Johnassan.

  • You mean Scarlett looks like her. But yeah, I see what you mean. She'd probably do the movie if they made one.

  • A All Time Classic.

This is such a Joy to watch this.

  • I really want to see a high quality version of this performance. It was just too cool!

    Thanks, lostmyhead for uploading though.

  • Get the DVD "Fever: The Music of Peggy Lee." It is there in better sound and sight than this YouTube version, which was apparently taped off TV. (Not that the DVD version looks perfect: After all, this is old and hugely rare footage. But it's definitely better.)

  • Oh, cool. Thanks for letting me know! ^^

  • Thank you for this video-

  • This is so great. There are 4 versions of "Fever" by Peggy in YouTube now, and she doesn't phrase each version exactly the same! That's one heck of a versatile and original singer.

  • a black man sang this song who is he

  • Little Willie John,he sang it the year before. But Peggy's version was a bigger hit. And of course became one of her signature songs.

  • That's interesting. I will have to look that up now...

  • nobody snaps like Miss Lee.

  • A genuine legend in this video. I can't think of very many songs that ever attained the level of recognition that this one has. Glad we still have videos to appreciate her talent.

  • Wow! My skin is tingling!

  • fever in the morning, fever all through the night...

  • i believe she was born in jamestown north Dakota.like me she was the youngest child of seven. she found music to provide escape from the abusive rampages of her mentally ill stepmother meg. theres a lil fact for ya's

  • flawless

  • I think the scratchiness of the track makes this song so much better, it gives it a class of it own. Rest well Peggy Lee, and thank you.

  • Ow! :D Good song. Love Peggy Lee.

  • I really do love everything about this song... the snapping of the fingers in this song was so smart!! It gives the whole piece this urgency... fantastic. And I agree with AmyRoseXOXOXO... the tint gives it this seedy wonderful feel like you're in a trance(esp at like sec. 00:25)... ok Im done now but yeah thanks for posting!!

  • This is what you call sexy! She is sexy as hell and still has all her clothes on.

  • Very sexy, very lovely. Pure class!

  • She puts so many other singers to shame!

  • Ms. Lee is very seductive (I ♥ it !!!). The quality of this video would be good to sample on another song. This has lots of potential.

  • Ms. Lee rules.

  • I know I got chills when she sang the words "fever" at least once in this song.

  • absolutely the best.....hot and sexy and funny...what a performer/singer !...am still smiling thinking of its brilliance.

  • jim bailey does her incredibly theres a clip on here

  • I heard other people try to do this song. Peggy left them far, far behind. Only she can do it wright.

  • HOT-CHA!;)

  • Well, video quality aside, the quality of her sensuous singing is as clear as ever. I'm still have a fever all over!

  • What a hunk!... a real woman!..mercy! Peggy lee makes me feel good. real good.

  • umm the clip has rather bad quality. Sound is not the best, but this is an really old song. Was released back in 1958, so it's very nostalgic

  • She was a great talent because in fact she cared for the talent of Billy Holliday.

  • The greatest lady singer/songwriter of all time!

  • I love this song but the clip is very WEIRD ans STRANGE...brrr, very strange..

    PAM

  • video of a video I was playing on the computer so yea, horrible quality :(

  • Sizzling!

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, MISS PEGGY LEE!!!

  • Hands down my favorite of the live Lee performances I've encountered. She is on fire here. Unbelievable timing and phrasing. Too bad about the poor audio quality.

  • too bad :(

  • My all time favorite female vocalist..she had a way of phrasing...singing, with that hauntingly beautiful voice of hers...no one could do it better...thanks Lostmyhead
