  • @lordbugs

    Thanx for watching, Michel! Merci!!

Have been missing you, mon ami! :-)

  • Pretty awesome. I love your guitar.

  • Thank you! Yeah, this is the best Strat I ever owned, I love it, too! The video sounds a bit...gritty compaired to the original sound.

  • Did you get this when it came out or buy it used? If you bought it used do you mind me asking how much you paid? I love my PRS, but single coils are still my favorite pickup. My squier strat has been modded so much it's not really squier anymore, but I want a fender strat. I was looking for a used American.

  • I bought it used in top notch condition on eBay about 3 years ago. I payed 590 Euros for it, including shipping within Germany. You can get really good American Strats on eBay for something between 500 and 700 Euros, used (500 to 700 Dollars in USA! They're cheaper there). I can seriously recommend US Strats with TBX tone control from the late 80s (mine is a 1986 model with TBX tone control. They are fantastic! But that's a matter of taste, LOL.)

PRS are cool axes, too!! Congrats! Nice one!

  • hey if you had to sell this guitar how much would you sell it for? is 400 too little?

  • wait actually i see now your's is american, mine is japanese, would that increase or decrease the value? id appretiate it if you'd answer.

  • Well, it's not for sale and I'd never sell it because I love this guitar. If it was sold, I could probably get up to 600 Euros for it on eBay. Japanese models are cheaper, a used one usually goes for 400 to 450 Euros on eBay. People still tend to think that Japanese models are of lesser quality which is NOT ALWAYS true! There are fantastic MIJ Strats on the market, I owned two of them myself. But still people don't pay as much for Japanese models as they would pay for American models.

  • so you think its a good deal to buy a japanese 85 stratocaster for $300 american? which is about 180 euros?

  • Considering the price: YES, even for the USA where Strats are cheaper than here in Germany!

BUT: It should be all original and it should be in good shape (look doesn't matter!). And you should play it before buying. Don't decide just because it's cheap, you must like it (sound, playability). If it doesn't "feel right", don't buy it. I hardly know 80s Japanese Strats, I had newer ones, so I can't tell anything about the quality of those guitars. Check it out if you can.

  • Awesome.......Cheers!!

  • Thanx man! I'm glad you like it!! :-)))

    Cheers, Dee

  • I knew you were a highly talented guitar player Dieter, but this blows me away.

It's an incredible track with a very unique sound.

    I love it.

    Carol.
