these cars are not complex, and the repair bill's are wayyyyyyy cheaper than a newer modern car. compare the cost of a complete brake job for a yaris, to this firebird. its almost half the cost. also if these cars are tuned properly they'll get an easy 22mpg, more when driven for economy. and believe it or not, you can drive like an asshole in anything, even a yaris

Yaris is a decent car if your looking for gas mileage, my father had a new 5-speed one and got around 45mpg. He fucking hated the damn thing and after he totalled it he bought a V6 Fusion and put all kind of shit on it (Cold air/TB spacer) and it fucking flies for a 4 door sedan, damn American cars are so much better than ricers. The ONLY foreign car I like are Toyota Tocamas, those things are nice but way to much damn money.

i agree with that completely. these cars were and are for keeps. newer vehicles are throw away junk. my 89 RS camaro has 184K on the clock. i pulled the stock 305 out and put a mildly built 350 in its place. i installed a limited slip diff. i did all of this for less than a couple grand. the car had a 305 tbi now its a 350 tbi. i was able to do all of this while keeping the emissions system and the drive ability of fuel injection. try that on something built today.

@83RS there are still some decent kids out there. since i was 16 (4 years ago) ive had a 78 nova as my daily driver until recently. now im rolling around in an 89 firebird formula with a 350 swap :) unfortunately there arent many people like that. a kid from the school i went to claimed to work on cars and had a 92 firebird 3.1 with the muffler taken off. another had a grand am with gran sport striped. and another had a 95is 3.8 camaro and always tried doing burnouts. lmao
