I'm crazy for this wonderful movie !!! It brings me a totally different feeling when I watched it. I love it sooooo much!!

When i went in to see this movie, being almost done with my teenage years,

i was hoping for a carefree little childhood movie,

and then i BAWLED!

I can't remember the last time i was so upset after a movie

but i can't insult it or say i didn't like it, because i did

it was beautiful to watch, and though extremely depressing, still got through to the parts of childhood often overlooked

The whole book is about a kid who goes to bed without dinner because hes acting up. When he gets back from his acid trip. He still gets his dinner. There was no real punishment. lol. the parents caved.

I don't care what people think. The point is they made a 5 minute story into a 1-2 hour movie, and that just says that something has to change in the movie im really pissed, upset about this!

Why would you be pissed? The author himself, Maurice Sendak, gave Spike Jonze his blessing, and Spike Jonze got Maurice Sendak involved in the movie in the process of making it.

It's a short story, but the story left plenty of room for elaboration.
