The scope is a 4x.

I would strongly recommend one with an adjustable objective, and you can get a nice Leapers or Centerpoint with one for $40 or so.

You need an adjustable objective to eliminate the parallax that will cause your shots to go wide at the short range that you use with that air rifle.

Parallax is far more pronounced as an aiming problem within 100 yards, which is also the maximum range you can hope to hit anything with this rifle.

@lilnorman123 maybe 50.0 yards, but not 500, it's impossible with a gun like that to shoot 1500ft. you could maybe get a shot off at 200yds, maybe 250yds, but it's impossible with anything short of a center or rimfire varmint rifle. a pellet will drop off and stop after about 300yds, 500yds is impossible with a 7.9gr pellet, let alone a pba raptor pellet which will just be blown around in the wind.

@lilnorman123 plus pba going supersonic is very inaccurate in anything except the gamo hunter extreme (which was meant to use mostly pba raptor pellets, not lead, pba get's the best groups only in the gamo hunter extreme) in a cfx the gun is meant for subsonic accuracy, and lead pellets. when it goes supersonic the pellet tumbles. you couldn't hit a can at 50yds with a pba raptor pellet in that gun, let alone at 500. also lead would have to be going atleast 1750fps to be able to do that.

And PBA pellets are total shit.

They beat the absolute bejesus out of your piston, cause premature breakdown of the gun, and MAJORLY suck in the accuracy department.

Only idiots who like showing off the supersonic crack use PBA pellets.

Mine likes Beeman Ramjets, which give me 0.44" five shot groups @ 25 yards.

Try getting even half as good as that with those shit PBAs.

that's not a velocity test, cfx doenst really get to 1000 ft/s thats just talk to sale gamo guns, they still heve enough power, velocitytest is with a chrony (Ps: do not use BPA raptor pellets the screw up your barrel and are to light!)

PBA sucks men! don't use them in airguns, they do increase velocity but, like airguns work with a spring piston, they have a seal in the end of the spring, and a light weight pellet such as the PBA will injury that seal!, cause the spring, when released, does not encouters the very much stoping power that it needs, so it will break after some time. I've broken my spring in my CFX Royal and for that i needed to change de spring and the seal! Cheers!!

GAMO, the maker of the gun makes PBA "poly ballistic alloy rounds" Like a hollow-point the pba's are thinner and expand larger once hitting an animal. The seal is on the circular perimeter of the piston not on the end of it. Retarded people dry-fire airguns constantly they are designed to take peoples' stupidity. Your piston was probably damaged when the spring broke. Spring kits are cheap upgrade to a stiffer one =)

with i velocity pellet rifles u wanna stick to the same grain all the time.i have a hunter 220 gammo shoot 7.9 grain .177cal pellet anything more or less will throw of the shot.didnt know if u knew or not just trying to help out
