@madhammudeux This is not like a videogame, in wich you take turns. We are talking about generations. In het Netherlands, muslims multiply by 3.8 childeren for every couple. THe native dutch only produce 1.5 childeren for evey couple. With the next generation, the % of muslims will have doubled.

TO JEET27 My dear friend, the only invaded force was exactly the ottomans from the muslim world and only them, historicaly, used force to take land towards the west territories. the turkish tribes united at some point started their emperial act, which we know today as ottoman empire. it was the european crusaders first who tried by force to expand and aggressively into the east territories. so tribes in the east united or separately had to fight, fanatical some times yes, against the europeans.

The muslims are themselves invaders into the holy lands, and also aggressive expansionists. The expansion into the iberian lands is proof alone of this. The crusades if anything, were a defensive action to drive them back. Look at the Ottomans centuries later, at the gates of Vienna and with plans to conquer Europe. If not for brave souls such as Charles Martel and others like him, Muslims would have invaded Europe and taken it, so they've nothing to complain about.

@Jeet27 That is not totally so. The Muslims came only a few generations after the Barbarians took over the northern parts of the Western Roman Empire. The Muslims took the southern parts of the entire Roman Empire. Westerners saw the conquests of the Visigoths, Saxons, Franks, etc. as legitimate. But the Muslims, after more than 400 years, were still seen as usurpers. That's the difference.

@versmex87 Yes but the christians wanted to actually own the region and its capitol. There were also many rebel factions that still attacked pilgrim caravans which is where the hospitaller and templar knights were introduced - they protected the caravans and fought off raiding parties etc. They joined this crusade to try help it succeed but were snubbed.

@Trafener there were not rebel factions they were thieves, thieves that you could also find ANYWHERE in any road in Europe. The whole crusades were a power struggle to become wealthy, religion was a pretext. Muslim were mostly respectful of christians and jews, they only adopted the jihad to counteract against the atrocities made by the European invanders.
