from what ive read he makes it quite clear that he never expects to get out of prison, and has expressed what seems like genuine remorse. from recent interviews especially, he seems like a haunted man (as he should be). had he not met corll i think he probably wouldve drifted into petty crime and would have ended up in prison eventually, but not for anything even approaching the horrible serial murders he was involved in. putting him at the same level as corll just isnt realistic
having said that, i do think that both brooks and henley should die in prison. once a certain line has been crossed, you can never go back again.. even if they were both technically children at the time of the murders, they were older children and could have stopped countless deaths simply by speaking up and going to the police.

Darkly fascinated with the case, I started corresponding/visiting with Wayne in 1990. Rhonda Williams is a close friend and find her to be delightfully frank in her recollection of this sobering and tragic case. I cannot fathom the pain of those boy's parents. When they were caught in 1973 I knew then what could have been my fate when I saw their faces on TV one night and heard that they may have killed up to three dozen. from what ive read he makes it quite clear that he never expects to get out of prison, and has expressed what seems like genuine remorse. from recent interviews especially, he seems like a haunted man (as he should be). had he not met corll i think he probably wouldve drifted into petty crime and would have ended up in prison eventually, but not for anything even approaching the horrible serial murders he was involved in. putting him at the same level as corll just isnt realistic

having said that, i do think that both brooks and henley should die in prison. once a certain line has been crossed, you can never go back again.. even if they were both technically children at the time of the murders, they were older children and could have stopped countless deaths simply by speaking up and going to the police.

But Dean Corll never threatened him or physically abused him; he just offered him money to bring him boys to rape and murder. Darkly fascinated with the case, I started corresponding/visiting with Wayne in 1990. Rhonda Williams is a close friend and find her to be delightfully frank in her recollection of this sobering and tragic case. I cannot fathom the pain of those boy's parents. Their grief is immeasurable, as is the horror inflicted upon the victims.

I was approached by both of these killers as they sought to obduct me in 1973. I'm now 47 years old and have kept this frightening memory, vague as it now is. When they were caught in 1973 I knew then what could have been my fate when I saw their faces on TV one night and heard that they may have killed up to three dozen. In stilled shock I couldn't eat and had to asked my parents if I could be excused from the table. I'm quite shocked now to revisit it all.
