There's a musical term for such a piece that takes part of another musical piece and uses it with an original composition surrounding said music, but I can't recall it at the moment. People do it all the time with classical music, and even Eminem did it with one of his songs, "copying" an old classic rock song. Your argument is invalid. :)

the cool thing about playing an instrument (i play cello) is when you hear epic things like this, you can conduct it in your head and hear all of the strings and pick out all the different parts that are playing the piece. the best part about the piece is that you dont have to bemusically inclined to hear how epic it is. plus it freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
