  • Oh my gosh! That's Embeth Davidtz from Matilda @ 0:36! Why haven't I seen this movie before? Great actresses!

  • is just so painful to watch part 2 because her heart is torn apart. YOU GO AMY!

  • Amy Adams is tremendous in Junebug. Two of my favorite lines:

"I suddenly have the urge to drink this."

"You look so pretty. You smell good too, all baby powder and shampoo-y"

  • Happy Birthday Amy!!! Today she becomes 37 years old

She is a great actor I love her films and hope to see much more from her

Best wishes to her from Germany

  • I missed the meerkat line! thats why he wanted to tape it so bad! he really loved her! damn!!!

  • "At the same time??"

  • "You were not."

    LOL

  • Came across this recently and loved it - very funny and moving. Great performances all round too :x

  • @livee89 me too! The script felt so natural--the most realistic dialogue in a long time!

  • I can't believe what a GREAT job she did with a Southern accent!!! I'm from Tennessee and she didn't overdo it with the accent at all.

  • I love this movie. Amy Adams is brilliant in this and I like real raw and rough content. It's unusually charming.

  • This sweet movie should have won Best Actress in a Supporting Role and should AT LEAST have been nominated for Best Original Score.

Call me a female pervert, but in combination with the Score, the masturbation scene was so sensual and beautiful!

  • What movie is this? I've not seen it here in Georgia (not surprised).

  • wow, I need to watch this movie. Just 8 min and 50 sec convinced me enough how much of a brilliant actress Amy Adams really is. Love her so much <3

  • i love embeth davidtz

  • She did a great job with the NC accent! This native North Carolinian thanks her for that!

  • HER CHARACTER REMINDS ME OF ME

  • Best line: How can EVERY line at the hospital be Busy??

  • I lol'd when she made the meerkat gesture

  • Such an underrated film

It have great performances, moving story, Amy adams..

  • This movie has such REAL dialogue... it flows like water. I watched another indie movie on Netflix, and it was awful. The dialogue was stiff, the actual words/character stories were forced and unbelievable, and the acting was average.

  • I love how she's like '... A baby' when Madeleine asks her what she's having.

  • actually at the babyshower she would've been about 7 1/2 or 8 months and maybe the hot dog was the only think she could eat. ever heard of food aversions during pregnancy it's possible to have them the entire time though they usually go away after three months

  • I am convinced this is the best movie ever...it could have ended better though.

  • she's great in this movie and so deserved to win the oscar over Rachel Weisz like Joanne Woodward had deserved to win in 1990 over Kathy Bates for Mr & Mrs Bridge granted it would've been her second oscar as she'd won in 1958 for The Three Faces Of Eve granted Eve's first bought of multiple personality disorder was triggered by the loss of an unborn child simillar to what Ashley goes through in this accept Woodward experienced the heartache in real life when she miscarried her first child

  • Love this film :)

  • "What type of things did you like to do when you were a little girl?"

    "Errm Reading, Horseback riding....."

    "At the same time???!!!!!"

  • She received her second Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations the following year for her role as a young nun, Sister James, in Doubt.

  • i love ben mckenzie!!!!!

  • "aww i love that..... it's so fucking cool" lol I love how she says that.

  • "I was born in Japan."

    "......you were not."

    Absolutely priceless.

  • hahah i know right

  • She deserved the oscar. And the film is excellent too! :)

  • @Transformers217 Totally agree.

  • cool! ;)

  • I love Amy she is brilliant°!

  • It's an amazing proof for the talent of an actress if she can make you laugh and cry in the same movie. Bravo, Amy.

  • She's like 9 months pregnant and all she had was a friggin' hot dog the entire day?

  • "Better than christmas!!" best line ever

  • "As soon as he sees that baby he's gonna snap out of it. I think. Yep."

    SHe is so perfect! :) :) :)

  • It's better than Christmas!

    haha

    i love Amy

  • do you have the whole movie?

  • Amy's childlike innocence interacts with Madeline's sophistication. When Amy says something naive, Madeline smiles. It's not a condescending or snobbish smile, but a warm and loving smile, as though she were suddenly in a mother's role. Madeline never makes light of Amy's naivete . Despite Johnny's rebuffs and callousness, Amy tries to help him. Another facet of her angelic presence in the movie. When she loses the baby ("Junebug") she is so wounded, but her brother consoles her.

  • Amy Adams is perfect

  • for anyone who wants to buy the DVD in the UK, they sell it at poundland for a pound :) I've bought mine and watched it probs about 5 times this week :)

  • poundland?! seriosly?!....man i got to go to poundland! :P

  • why didn't they let her on the cheerleading squad?! she'd certainly have enough school spirit lol. Amy Adams actually played the slutty cheerleader in Drop Dead Gorgeous!

  • my old nickname used to be junebug didnt know it was a movie called it tho

  • I love her and this performance!! Too bad she was in the same category as Rachel Weisz that year. But this year, I think she deserved to win for DOUBT. She was amazing!! That was THE role for her. Penelope Cruz was okay and also deserved to win, but I think this was Amy Adams chance to win. Too bad. I keep my fingers crossed for her to win the Oscar one day.

  • lmfao at amy adams "Oh this is better than christmas!!" HAHAHAH

  • i know'! its the best bit :]

  • Amy Adams was AWESOME in this movie. Every scene she was in made me crack up.

  • Omg. Haha. I love Amy Adams in this. I love her. Oh man. She's great!!!

  • hahah

"How can everybody at the hospital be busy? What if we had an emergency?" hahahahaha great line

  • this looks so great. please post the whole film?!?

  • Amy Adams was the one single shining part of this movie. I hate depressing movies and this movie was heart-breaking for me. Her acting was great but it was a sad movie.

  • what was this movie about?

  • A well-2-do lady meets a smart and successful dude and marries him within a week. the movie takes place 6 months later when her job requires her to travel to his southern hometown. he comes along and they stay with his family which includes his bro who isn't as successful or smart and his bro's wife (amy adams). the rich woman finds she knows almost nothing of this man she married.

  • Don't crucify me for saying this, but is the guy in this movie the same guy from the OC, just with a mo? If not, it's a lookalike.

  • it is

  • omg its ryan!

  • i like when he tries to tape the meerkat special thats sweet...

  • omg me too i hated him until that part, then that part made me cry

  • omg me too i hated him until that part, then that part made me cry

  • "I was born in Japan."

    "......you were not!" ROFL

Amy Adams was amazing in this movie.

  • what i really like bout this movie ,, is the clash between the workinclass and the middleclass ,, its really good ,, but the filmmakes made a wierd thing when the men act .. its like they ar reterds or something ,,

  • I feel in love with this character *sigh* she's so sweet!!!

  • im so sorry to comment three times, but i love this so much. i love how ashley just is so curious and kind of looks up to madeleine. and right after madeleine's like, "Fuck," ashley goes, "It's so...fucking cool, Madeleine." it's like she's just trying to imitate someone she really admires. it's adorable. and how ashley smiles after she asks madeleine if she read and rode horses at the same time! aw. amy really tailored this role perfectly.

  • If you'll notice the scene at the baby shower where Amy is kissing all of the guests on both cheeks, imitating Madeleine. This movie was so subtle and heartbreaking, but hilarious as well!!

"What're you waitin' for, an engraved invitation?!" lol awesome line.

  • YAY! THANK YOU SO MUCH! i was at the virgin megastore and junebug was in the sale bin so i picked it up and i watched it at my flat with my family. i was embarrassed at all the sex scenes just because my parents were there, but i just beamed at every single scene of amy's. my favorite was when she's doing madeleine's nails and she's like:

"Why, Miss Madeleine, you came in for..."

and the part whens he's telling madeleine about, "knocking on the wall and i'll know it's you!" :)

  • I watched this movie last night!! And it is really good.

  • HAHAHA, some of the expressions that she pulls reminds me of Catherine Tate. :)

  • She did an awesome job, i am in awe of her acting ability!!

  • WHY IS THIS CALLED JUNEBUG???

  • amy adams wants to name the baby junebug.

  • sometimes a star shines so bright that the movie is just icing on the cake. Naomi Watts in "Mulholland Drive," Penelope Cruz in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," and most certainly, Amy Adams here. A terrific script like Junebug's gives her the perfect platform.

  • I love all this movies!have you Sean "Don't move" or "volver",Penelope Cruz is actually a grate actress but she doesn't translate that well wen she does American movies:( .and as far as movies go,I also like "me you and everyone we know"can you recommend any other movie.

  • NesyDan, here are films that have strong performances of unforgettably idiosyncractic leads: Barbarian Invasions, Talk To Her, Day Trippers, Next Stop Wonderland, Three Colors - Blue, Three Colors - Red, Lives of Others, Babette's Feast

  • What was she doing in the last scene?

  • she looks like 20 plus but she's already 30 !

  • que grandiosa actriz es amy..., el performance de ben mckenzie también me parece bueno, un papel distinto para el, muestra una versatilidad que no pensé que tenía.

  • Amy Adams is BRILLIANT in this film. She delivers such a layered performance.

  • lol.. "... it's better than Christmas!" LOL!!!!

  • how come no volume??

  • omg thank you sooo much for this! I love this movie, Amy should have won the oscar for this

  • Amy is so adorable in this film that it hurts.

  • Amy Adams is absolutely stunning and an amazing actress.

  • The fact that she has this sort of innocent admiration for the other woman really makes her character likable. It's almost as if she is a child looking up to her mother.

  • that is such a true comment. ashley is definitely in admiration of other women and she is like a child looking up to her mum. i really loved amy's portrayal of ashley. it's joyous and also sad in a way. ashley's like a pregnant child.

  • your right she is a child. Even her mannerisms give this child-like innocence and I think Madeleline picks up on that and becomes her mentor in a scence.

  • This was one of the best films of 2005.

  • I saw this movie for the first time today.

Amy was so amazing and funny in this!

  • how come no one's pointed out that the other chick is MISS HONEY? y'know, of matilda fame? maybe i'm the only square here. but it's MISS HONEY!

  • How the fuck could she lose at the oscars?!? losing to Rachel Weisz?!? fuck man! it's a crime!

  • amen, my friend, amen

  • one of my favourite movies ever.

  • this looks like a good movie... I'm tempted to go rent it. Is it a good movie?

  • Amy Adams makes it a good movie. If it weren't for her, it'd be pretty....boring.

  • I totally agree.

  • She played a freafin, good villian in smallville

  • wow! i love how shes liek ITs better than christmas!

  • OMG she is sooo cute and funnny in this film!

  • she's brilliant, she's really funny, but it's sort of sad as well.

  • LMAO shes so funny in this.:D Love her!!!

  • (,bkt ayaw nio magc0ment sa akin?!)what is the wh0le st0ry of junebug?

  • (,bakit walang dvd or vcd na junebug dito?)what is the wh0le st0ry of junebug??...i nEed 2 kn0w!!!!plz!!!!

  • the music is crab

  • Amy's rambling reminds me of "Penelope", that character Kristin Wiig plays on "Saturday Night Live"

  • Yep, and when Amy Adams guesthosted SNL, they even made a joke about how they're like twin sisters!

They sang "Loathing" from WICKED to each other!

  • She's fantastic.

  • wer can u watch this junebug?wat website will i go?i nEed 2 knw!! I want 2 watch the m0vie!there's no dvd of junebug here!!i want 2 watch it!really!plz!

  • Ugh, cause it's rated R *Rolls Eyes*. I'm 15 years old for crying out loud! Lol I think I can handle whatever it is that makes it rated R

  • lol i agree i am 15 though i can watch R unless there's no nudity in it. But sometimes I still watch it even if there's nudity lol
