Hi athiestontheloose This is a logical and rational explanation. It is not about spinning. What would be the purpose of doing it? Many people believe that someday after they physically die, somehow they are resurrected ? Why not resurrect our spirit here while we are alive and can do something about it. You may think that you are doing very well and everything is fine with yourself. I do not believe that about myself and I see my weaknesses want to change here and now.

@whatitdotx We were not meant to live forever. The bible makes it clear that during Jesus' 1000 year the original state of creation will come back. If you notice, no one ever lived past 1000 years, before God shortened life to 120 years max. People were originally not supposed to pass 1000 years. The notion of eternity in our mortal bodies is incorrect.

He did not say direct Children of God but adopted children. What does ADOPTED means. It means that we are still connected to the original sin and satan's lineage. They no longer had access to the tree of life, therefore fell under a curse and into satan's domain. Scientists know how to clone, change our epigenome, genome, and grow organs and limbs. In a sense, humans are "god." We will be able to cure cancer and many other diseases in the future. Cells can experience uncontrolled growth(cancer) if there are damages or mutations to DNA. There is no soul. Death is not instant. It is a process.

I love the way you interperet death. More people need to believe death isn't all that bad. It's like the flu. Once it's gone, your life is wonderful again. More people need to be optimistic and i don't understand why people choose the 'second door' i don't get why people wouldn't want to live an eternity of peace. On 2:49 it says "Physical Self" and "Spirit Self (Personality)" are different. But this is wrong. Personality is determined by physical characteristics and processes in the brain. People who suffer localized damage to various parts of their brain lose parts of their personality too; they don't retain them as though it belonged to a spirit. We know which parts of the brain are responsible for different parts of personality (e.g. medial prefrontal cortex is responsible for emotional responses).

This is a scriptural error I found with your statement. In genisis, God shuts off the tree of life from Adam and Eve so they do not live forever. No, man's body is not meant to live forever. But Adam and Eve were meant to live forever by eating the fruit of the tree of life. Fisrt off if there had been no fall there would never have been no phyical death either. Indeed the spirit died to God that day, yet Adam and Eve also died phyically within the 1000 years stated as a day to God.
The fact is Body/Soul/Spirit will all be saved in the end. The spirit is revived when we accept Jesus as our savior. The Soul contiues to be renewed while here, fighting the body which still desires sin. On the resurrection day all bodies will be changed and saved.

Hi WinterWoodlands I believed that in the upper room, the disciples experienced the Pentecost transformation thru they spiritual senses. Since the human fall, our 5 spiritual senses have been really diminished. At the Pentecost the spiritual atmosphere was so hign that the disciples' spiritual senses were opened. Just a note on the actual text of the bible. Man was not created to go old and die. Growing old and dying was part of the consequences Adam and Eve suffered because of their sin. An example: You tell your child not to eat the bleach under the counter because if they do it will make them very sick and they could die. If your child doesn't listen to you and eats the bleach well ...

SOOOO...dominion means control. Meaning if "Adam and Eve" hadnt "fell" they would have full control over their lived. And being that they "ate" of some forbidden "fruit" they lost that control and was then put under the control of "satan". HI threeknotscott I agree with you that sin is death. I believe that means only spiritual death, not physical death. For instance Jesus was sinless, still his physical body was aging. There is not record that he did not aged. The Bible says that " The dust returns to the ground it came from and the spirit returns to God who gave it". @whatitdotx We were not meant to live forever. The bible makes it clear that during Jesus' 1000 year the original state of creation will come back. If you notice, no one ever lived past 1000 years, before God shortened life to 120 years max. People were originally not supposed to pass 1000 years. "For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive." Spiritual death comes from our own personal sins that seperate us from God which is why we need Christ for redemption.

Scientists know how to clone, change our epigenome, genome, and grow organs and limbs. In a sense, humans are "god." We will be able to cure cancer and many other diseases in the future. Cells can experience uncontrolled growth(cancer) if there are damages or mutations to DNA. There is no soul. Death is not instant. It is a process.

Contradictions have to be explained and there is no reason to believe in mysteries. I am with you on that. I made a video titled :"What happened after the New Testament". it has come to my conclusion is how have we Humans developed a soul if were older than 200,000 years old, if animals don't souls and the Homo Habilis was a chimp like animal and it had no soul, how did we Homo Sapiens Sapiens get our soul?

@LivingResurrectionTV We don't have a soul we are a soul. When God created Adam and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life Adam ""became a living soul"" We are a soul because we have the breath of life. When we die we are asleep in the grave "the dead know nothing" no spirit, nothing until the 1st resurrection. then believers are awakened and taken along with the living believers. The ungodly are awakened at the 2nd resurrection. Blessed r they that have part in the 1st resurrection.

@mikestheman3 We all have spirits, for an example the spirit is like a battery going in to a toy, when we are joined in to our bodies we start to function and at death the spirit leaves the body. That is one reason why we can not remember much being in the whomb and after birth because you spirit is leaving and coming back in to the body sort of getting comfortable with your new body. try to understand more about consciousness...

Hi 1struthalways Thanks for your comment. God is the God of the physical and spiritual world. A&E died spiritually but continue to live physically. Our physical body is temporary but our spirit is eternal. Let me ask you 2 questions:1) If our physical bodies were eternal as you said, how many people would be physically alive on earth today? 2) When people die today according to you, our life is completly over since ther is no Spiritual World. Isn't it what Atheists believe

On 2:49 it says "Physical Self" and "Spirit Self (Personality)" are different. But this is wrong. Personality is determined by physical characteristics and processes in the brain. People who suffer localized damage to various parts of their brain lose parts of their personality too; they don't retain them as though it belonged to a spirit. We know which parts of the brain are responsible for different parts of personality (e.g. medial prefrontal cortex is responsible for emotional responses).

Hi LukeScientiae Our Physical self includes our physical mind and physical body. Our spirit self includes our spirit mind and our spirit body. In the same way, we are 5 physical senses and 5 spiritual senses. What you are talking about is not our spirit body but our part of our physical body which is temporary.

This is a scriptural error I found with your statement. In genisis, God shuts off the tree of life from Adam and Eve so they do not live forever. No, man's body is not meant to live forever. But Adam and Eve were meant to live forever by eating the fruit of the tree of life. And again, we see the tree of life in revelation, where the saints will eat of it, after being given NEW spiritual bodies.

Whenever christians evangelize they always just explain their beliefs without ever explaining why they believe that or why we should. I think this is because they have no good arguments for it, so they have to count on people blindly following their emotions.
I admit, the idea that I will live forever is attractive. I want to live for ever, and I wish I could. But I want to believe in what is true more, because ignorance can be destructive.
