  • i will just say that i used a knife to open the case as the pry tool was too weak, but i have changed the battery successfully. It can be done with patience and a calm temperament.

  • thank you for making this video i watched it a couple of times and i got my battery and put it in with no prob

  • This was the best video for 3rd gen. I did notice you pulling on the cables to unfit, like with the battery cable. A little dicey. How long does the NEW battery expect to last in real world time..Like using 75% general volume and playing .aiff or uncompressed. Does that harddrive or a harddrive from Gen 5 ipod swappable in the Gen 3?

  • very clear nice instruction

  • Magic is easy once you know the secret ...

  • Hello! I was nervous in begining, but I open it, change a battery and close it, without dammages for a few minutes....just relax...it is quite possible

  • i'm at it for at least a couple of hours LOL

  • @paradoxo88 yeah..be careful..I ended up getting impatient with my Gen 5 and bent the fuck outta the silver back. and I even messed up one of the cables making it impossible for the unit to access the Harddrive..but I just need a new ribbon..so I just ended up buying the Gen 3..because it's simply better, faster, stronger.

  • even though theres a lot of new iPod coming out every year i still LOVE my classic 3rd generation baby! and it still works like new. thx fr the video :]

  • It gets a lot easier after you've done it a few times. :-)

  • Great! So empowering!

  • cool
