  • Who is reciting this poem?

  • I couldn't watch the whole thing because although the title says "What am I?", more than halfway I kept hearing "I am not ... nor". Call the video "What I am Not!"

  • @randmeister that is something called poetry

  • The MOST elevating video I ever saw!!!!!!!!!

  • Could someone please tell me what the background music is?

  • @IqraUmmah .hi have u found out what's the background music is?please tell me...

  • amazing

  • what an ultimate thought

  • My favorite Love this ♥♥♥

  • Rumi's teachings are ultimate, so simple even a foolish person like me can understand. Great spirtual master of his time. but his teachings are not for religious people they won't undertand it. Forgive me but that is the truth.

  • Beshno az nei chon hekayat mikonad

    Az jodaiha shekayat mikonad

  • ♥♥♥really Beautiful ♥♥♥

  • ow, beautiful, same with the other one (The title and the poem) but with different pictures..

Whatever it is, I still Love all poems that rumi made..

    Soft and beautiful,..

  • please tell me where i can get the music on the backround plz, by the way the poem was great

  • welldone it was so beautifull and I really enjoed it, thanks

  • "I belong to the soul of the beloved"- I belong to allah the creator

  • No he is not talking about Allah.

He is talking about the Oness of the universe, YOU may call it Allah, but Rumi calls it "the beloved" since the Oness he is talking about does not take any identity.

that's why in the very begining he says "I am neither Christians,...nor Muslim".he is pointing out that all these identities, calling ourselves Muslim or Jew etc, they are all falsehood. The only truth is that we are all one, and that oness can never be understood mentally but felt as deep love.

  • Dear Tosan1 don't forget after all Jelalludin Rumi was a Muslim Suffi Sheik.

  • and I don't forget he said at the begining of this poem that "I am not Muslim".

Why do you think he said that?

What do you think it means?

  • @tosan1 This is the state of Fana Fil'lah, that overtakes the Sufis, in which everything besides Allah(swt) disappears, the Sheikh sees nothing else. Hard to describe, but if someone described this state, its Moulana Rumi(ra).

  • Both of you guys are wrong.

    Tosan1:

Rumi was a muslim sheikh, that's a fact.

    Javed00:

Rumi is not talking about Allah ,which is God,but he is talking about LOVE " For I belong to the soul of the beloved "

  • If that's what YOU feel, that's fine. but that's not what Rumi said.

  • Thank you! :)

  • beautiful!!!!!!!! thanks for the post

  • wow

  • wow god itself

  • In sufism god is not different from us. the creator and the created are all one. so I don't like to call it god since the term god implies a seperate identity from us.

  • what kind of sufism is that? real tasawwuf is drawing closer to Allah thru acts and rememberance, about giving everything up for the sake of pleasing Allah, the One God, whom no other can be compared to.

    rumi was a muslim scholar

  • Beautiful,
